Brent Celek started his career with the La Salle High School's football team. During his stint with the team, he was named the first-team all district, and was able to set a school record when he passed 89 yards.
In college, he played for the Cincinnati Bearcats which won him the UC Claude Rost Award. He was then selected as a second-team All-Big East Conference. Celek was chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles as the fifth round, 162nd overall pick during the 2007 NFL Draft.
In 2009, his contract was extended for six years. During the 2012 season, Celek finished with 57 receptions for 684 yards and one touchdown.
Brent Steven Celek was born on January 25, 1985 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has a brother, Garrett who also played football for San Francisco 49ers.
