Wally Szczerbiak started his career with the Cold Spring Harbor High School's basketball team. He was the recipient of the Richard Sangler Award. In college, he committed to play for Miami University's RedHawks basketball team. While with the team, he earned the All-MAC honors and hailed as MAC Player of the Year in 1999.
During the 1999 NBA Draft, he was selected as the 6th overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Szczerbiak has joined the Western Conference All-Star team in 2002. Stayed for 7 seasons with the team, he was traded off to Boston Celtics in 2006.
