Tyreke Evans is an American professional basketball player with an estimated net worth of $32.5 million.
Tyreke Evans started his career when he attended the American Christian Academy in Aston, Pennsylvania and joined the school's basketball team. He was named MVP during McDonalds's High School All-American Game. While with the team, he was included in the documentary, " Gunning for that #1 Spot", and it was directed by Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch.
He considered attending University of Texas and Villanova University, but he chose to play for the University of Memphis Tigers basketball team. Evans was an eight-time Conference USA Rookie of the Year, and became a finalist of 2009 United States Basketball Association's national player of the year award.
Evans landed a spot during the 2009 NBA Draft, after he decided to forego three seasons of his collegiate eligibility and was chosen as the fourth overall pick by the Sacramento Kings.
He received an award as MVP during the Rookie/Sophomore Game in 2010. Evans was the acquired by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2013 in a sign-and-trade deal which involved three teams.
