With his 2.31 meter-height, Manute Bol is considered as one of the tallest players in the history of the National Basketball Association. He officially joined the NBA when he was selected as the 31st overall pick in the second round of the 1985 NBA Draft. Manute Bol has played for several NBA franchises which include the Washington Bullets, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Miami Heat.
Manute Bol actually came from a family with extraordinary height. In fact, as of October 2012, his son Bol Bol measures 6 feet and 5 inches which is very unusual for a seventh grader. Manute Bol was survived by his wife and 10 children when he died on June 19, 2010.
