Larry Bird has an estimated net worth of $45 million. After he was selected as the 6th overall pick by the Boston Celtics in the 1978 NBA Draft, but he opted to continue playing for the Indiana State University. Larry Bird joined the draft in 1979 and he began playing as power forward and small forward. His entire professional basketball career was spent with the Boston Celtics. He was the only NBA player who was named as the coach of the year, executive of the year and Most Valuable Player of the Year.
After his retirement from the NBA, Larry Bird accepted the job as coach of the Indiana Pacers. He indicated beforehand that he will be coaching for three years only. Under his management, he led the team successfully which won him the Coach of the Year award.
