J.J. Barea is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player with an estimated net worth of $11 Million.

J.J. Barea started playing basketball for the Miami Christian School's basketball team. He was was selected to Florida’s All-State team and named as Miami-Dade’s Player of the Year.

In college, he was a four year letterman for the Northeastern University from 2002 up to 2006.  He was named CAA Player of the Year in 2006. After college, Barea participated in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in Virginia in 2006. He received the Allen Iverson Award for the said competition.

During the NBA Draft in 2006, he got the spot for the Dallas Mavericks and assigned to Forth Worth Flyers in the NBA Development League in 2007. Also in 2007, he was recalled by the Mavericks. After winning the championship in 2011, he became a free agent and signed a four-year contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jose Juan Barea Mora was born on June 26, 1984 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. He has a son with his former girlfriend, Miss Universe 2006 Zuleyka Rivera.
