Isaiah Thomas is an American professional basketball player who has a net worth of $20 million dollars.

Isaiah Thomas was born to James Thomas and Tina Baldtrip and was named after Hall of Fame guard Isiah Thomas of the Detroit Pistons. Isaiah Thomas began his basketball career as a member of the South Kent School's basketball team. In 2008, he graduated from a Connecticut prep school. Thomas averaged 31.2 points per game as a junior for Curtis High's varsity basketball team. On April 20, 2006, he organized a news conference to announce his commitment to sign with the University of Washington.

Scout.com ranked him 23rd among shooting guards. He was a member of the Washington Huskies during his college years. Thomas was granted permission to wear his No. 2 jersey by former Washington Huskies star Nate Robinson. Thomas scored 27 points on 9-of-12 field goals in an exhibition match against Western Washington. On December 30, 2008, he scored a season-high 27 points in an 81–67 home victory over Morgan State. He was a 2009 Pac 10 Second Team selection and a 2010 and 2011 Pac 10 First Team selection.

Thomas entered the 2011 NBA Draft. The Sacramento Kings selected him with the 60th pick in the second round of the said draft. He was a second-team NBA All-Rookie selection. Thomas starred in his own pre-draft documentary, "Road To The NBA–The Isaiah Thomas Story," prior to the 2011 NBA draft. The Sacramento Kings selected Thomas in the second round of the 2011 NBA draft with the 60th and final pick. Thomas recorded his first double-double against the Cleveland Cavaliers on February 19, 2012, with 23 points and 11 assists.

Thomas was named the February NBA Rookie of the Month for the Western Conference on March 1, 2012, after averaging 12.2 points and 4.4 assists per game in February. No player had ever been named Rookie of the Month after being selected last in the NBA draft. Thomas led the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals with an average of 28.9 points and 5.9 assists per game on 46% shooting and 37% from the three-point range. He led the NBA in fourth-quarter points, finished fifth in MVP voting, and was the face of a ragged Celtics team that upset the Cavaliers in the conference finals. He later played for the Phoenix Suns, the Boston Celtics, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the New Orleans Pelicans. He was named to the 14-player roster for the final round of the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup qualifiers in February 2021. Thomas scored 19 points in his first competitive game in over a year on February 19 in a 93–77 victory over the Bahamas. The following day, he scored nine points, all in the first quarter, in a 96–75 victory over Mexico.

According to the NBA, Thomas required surgery in 2017 after suffering a right femoral-acetabular impingement with a labral tear. That cost him a season and money, but he has recovered successfully. The Los Angeles Clippers waived Thomas, and he is now a free agent. Thomas signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans on April 3, 2021. Thomas and his wife Kayla are the parents of two sons and one daughter.
