Gheorghe Muresan is a retired Romanian basketball player with a net worth estimated to be around $5 million.

Gheorghe Muresan started his career when he joined the Cluj University's basketball team. He then played for the CS Universitatea Mobitelco in 1991-1992 season. His professional stint began when he appeared to play for Pau-Orthez during the 1992-93 season.

He was spotted by the people from NBA and was selected by the Washington Bullets during the NBA Draft in 1993. He turned to France for the 1995-96 season with Pau-Orthez. Muresan was named NBA Most Improved Player in 1996. He later joined the New Jersey Nets in 1999. After he ended his NBA career, he did another stint for the Pau-Orthez in 2000-2001 season. He joined ABA's Maryland Nighthawks during the 2005-06 season.

His passion for sports never stopped as he founded the Giant Basketball Academy in 2004. And he also served as ambassador of the Washington Wizards' marketing and public relations team.

Gheorghe Dumitru Mureșan was born on February 14, 1971 in Tritenii de Jos, Romania. He is married to Liliane and has two sons.
