Chris Webber started his career for Detroit Country Day School's high school basketball squad. He led the team by winning MHSAA State championships thrice and named as 1990-1991 National High School's player of the year. And also, he was hailed as MVP for McDonald's and Dapper Dan All-Star games.

In college, he was known as one of the members of Michigan Wolverine's Fab Five. During his two years stint, Webber was selected to the first team All-American, and became finalist for the John R. Wooden Award. He was convicted of perjury and banned from any affiliation with the Michigan program until 2013 in relation with the scandal that occured while he was with the team.

During the 1993 NBA Draft, Webber was chosen first overall pick by Orlando Magic. He was immediately traded to Golden State Warriors, in exchange to Anfernee Hardaway. Then, he had played for Washington Bullets, Sacramento Kings, Philadelphia 76ers, and Detroit Pistons.

15 years after his first stint with the Warriors, Webber returned to the team and officially announced his retirement on March 25, 2008 due to the problems occured with his surgical repaired knee at that time. Life after playing basketball, he became an analyst for NBA TV's NBA Gametime Live.
