Boris Diaw is a French professional basketball player.
Boris Diaw started playing basketball when he won a slam dunk contest in France. He was selected to play for the France Pro-A league's Pau Orthez in 2001.
During the NBA Draft in 2003, Diaw was selected by Atlanta Hawks in the first round, twenty-first overall of the said draft process. He played for two seasons before he was traded off to Phoenix Suns in 2005.
In 2008, he was traded to Charlotte Bobcats. During the 2011 NBA lockout, he played for the French Second Division's JSA Bordeaux team. Diaw was waived by the Bobcats on March 21, 2012. Two days after, he signed a contract with the Spurs.
Boris Babacar Diaw-Riffiod was born on April 16, 1982 in Cormeilles-en-Parisis, Val-d'Oise,France.
