Considered as one of the most successful Americans in the history of car racing, Italian American Mario Andretti is a former world car racing champion with an estimated net worth of $100 million.

Aside from Dan Gurney, Mario Andretti is one of two drivers who have the championship in competitions like IndyCar, NASCAR, World Sportscar Championship and Formula One. While on F1, he was part of teams like Lotus, Williams, Alfa Romeo, March, Parnelli and Ferrari. On his 24 Hours of Le Mans career, he was a member of teams like Holman Moody, Panoz Motorsports, Grand Touring Cars Inc., Courage Compétition and Porsche AG.

Andretti was declared as the grand champion at the 1978 Formula One World Championship event and since his success at the 1978 Formula One Dutch Grand Prix, no other American has won the said competition. In 1984, 1967 and 1964, he was named as the Driver of the Year. To date, he is the only professional race car driver who have won Daytona 500, Indianapolis 500 and of course, the Formula One World Championship Event. Furthermore, aside from Juan Pablo Montoya, he is the only American driver who have won  Indianapolis 500, Formula One Grand Prix and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

This Italian American sports personality was born on February 28, 1940 in Motovun, Kingdom of Italy. He currently lives in Pennsylvania with his wife Dee Ann.
