Landon Cassill is an American stock car racer currently driving Circle Sport's No. 40 and Chevrolet's No. 33 in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. He also competes in the NASCAR Nationwide Series using JD Motorsports' No. 4 Chevrolet.
Landon Douglas Cassill was born on July 7, 1989 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA. Like most professional car racers, Cassill started racing at a young age. By age 11, he had become a two-time first Kart Series national champion. Eventually, he won the International Kart Federation (IKF) championships four times.
Cassill made his NASCAR debut in 2006, and by December of the same year, he was signed by Hendrick Motorsports. In 2008, he was named the NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year. He spent three years racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, competing in a total of 110 races. His six-year career with the NASCAR Nationwide Series led him to participate and compete in 52 races. Over his two-year career in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, he has competed in only eight races.
