Currently driving for Lotus of Formula One, Kimi Raikkonen is a Finnish professional race car driver with an estimated net worth of $200 million in 2015. He signed a two –year deal with Lotus for Formula One racing in 2012.
Debuting into Formula One Racing in 2001 with Sauber-Petronas, Kimi Raikonnen moved to McLaren Mercedes in 2002. During the 2003 and 2005 championships, he finished as a runner up to Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher. In 2007, he began racin for Ferrari where he became the highest paid racer in motor sport with his annual salary of $51 million. On his debut year with Ferrari, he earned his first Formula One World Drivers' Championship after defeating Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. In 2009, he joined the Citroën Junior Team to compete for the World Rally Championship. Shortly, his attention was driven toward NASCAR and he began driving for the Kyle Busch Motorsports . After his successful nine seasons with Formula One, Kimi Raikkonen decided to join the 2010 and 2011 World Rally Championship.
Apart from Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikonnen is one of the two F1 drivers who were able to make it to The Celebrity 100 of Forbes Magazine. In 2007, he was 41st in rank and a year later, he ascended to the 37th place. In 2008, he was named as the 26th highest paid celebrity and the 5th highest paid sports personality. He only came in fifth after Phil Mickelson, Michael Jordan, David Beckham and Tiger Woods. As of 2009, he was only behind Tiger Woods in the list of highest paid athletes in the world.
