Apart from being a rally driver, Ken Block has also developed a passion for motocross, snowboarding and skateboarding. Ken Block started his rallying career with Vermont SportsCar team in 2005. When his first rallying career ended, he won the Rally America Rookie of the Year award.

A year later, he got a sponsorship deal with Subaru. He competed at the X Games XII where he finished third. He also competed at the 2006 Rally America National Championship where he ranked second overall. In 2007, he again participated in the X Games XIII rally event, where he got a silver award. During the 2007 Rally America National Championship, he finished third.
