Valtteri Filppula is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who has an estimated net worth of $25 million.

Valtteri Filppula was selected as the 95th overall pick by Detroit Red Wings during the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He was a part of the Jokerit Helsinki from 2003 to 2005. He won the SM-Iiiga silver medal in 2005.

After his career in Finland, he moved to the United States and played for American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins. While with the Wings' minor league affiliate, he was selected to play for PlanetUSA during the 2005-2006 AHL All-Star Game. Filppula debuted with the Wings in December 2005.

After eight seasons with the Wings, Filppula signed a five-year contract with Tampa Bay Lightning in July 2013.
