Nikolai Khabibulin was a Russian professional hockey player for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Nikolai Khabibulin began his journey as a hockey player when he was selected in the 9th round of NHL Draft in 1992 by the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets moved to Phoenix and became known as Phoenix Coyotes in 1996.
He played for the International Hockey League's Long Beach Ice Dogs for a year before he traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2000. Khabibulin emerged as a goaltender. He did an awesome performance during the NHL All-Star Game in 2002 and led the team to win the Stanley Cup in 2004.
