Mike Liut is a retired Canadian ice hockey player which has an estimated net worth of $823 thousand.

Mike Liut started to play in Bowling Green State University's college hockey team. While with the team, he was named CCHA First All-Star team twice before he was selected 56th overall by the St. Louis Blues during the 1976 NHL Entry Draft.

Before WHA merged with NHL, he played for the Cincinnati Stingers for two seasons. Liut began his career with the Blues in 1979 which he led the team in winning 71 games. During the 1980-1981 season, he almost clinched the Hart Trophy and received the Lester B. Pearson Trophy for his accomplishment as the league's MVP.

He was first traded to the Hartford Whalers in 1985. While with the team,  he led the team of play at the Adams Division Semifinals. After one season, they won the title.

Liut's transfer to the Washington Capitals in 1990 prevented him to play due to an ailment which led him to announce his retirement during the 1991-1992 season.

Life after his career on ice, he became the assistant coach for the University of Michigan from 1995-1996 to 1997-1998 season. Liut worked at Octagon's ice hockey division.
