Jonas Gustavsson began his career in 2002 when he joined AIK. He stayed with the club until 2007. Then, he transferred to Elitserien's Farjestad BK in 2008, and hailed as one of the top goalie during the 2008-2009 season. He led the team in winning the title and named as MVP during the playoffs.
