Jere Lehtinen is a former Finnish professional ice hockey player who played for the Dallas Stars.

Jere Lehtinen began his career when he played for Kiekko-Espoo. He led the team in winning the division and landed a spot for Finnish SM-liiga.

In 1993, he signed up to play for SM-liiga's TPS. Lehtinen. He was invited to play for Team Finland in the 1995 World Championship. The team won the gold medal for the said tournament.  After the said competition, he instanly became part of the Dallas Stars.

He and the rest of the Dallas Stars led them winning the Stanley Cup in 1999. Lehtinen officially announced his retirement on December 8, 2010. During his stint as an ice hockey player, he was an awardee of Frank J. Selke trophy in 1998, 1999 and 2003.

Jere Kalervo Lehtinen was born on June 24, 1973 in Espoo, Finland. He is married to Jaana and has 3 children.
