Jaromir Jagr2

Considered as one of the best hockey players of all time, this European-born athlete is currently playing for the Boston Bruins of the NHL (National Hockey League). He debuted into NHL in 1990 when he was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins as its 5th overall draft pick.

From 1990 through 2001, Jagr played for the Pittsburgh. In 2001, he signed a 7-year $77 million worth of contract with the Washington Nationals, giving him an annual salary of $11 million. At the time of signing, it was the largest contract ever awarded in the history of National Hockey League. He played for the Nationals until 2004 only. He spent the next NFL seasons (2004-2008) with the New York Rangers.

From 2008 through 2011, he played for the Avangard Omsk of Kontinental Hockey League. In 2012, he returned to NHL. Instead of signing with Pittsburgh, Jagr agreed to a 1-year $3.3 million worth of contract with the Philadelphia Flyers.
