Jakub Voracek was selected as the first overall pick during the 2006 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft. He played two seasons with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Halifax Moosehead. During his stint with the team, he received the Michel Bergeron Trophy in 2007.
