Daniel Briere is a former Canadian professional ice hockey player with an estimated net worth of $50 million.

Daniel Briere played Bantam hockey for Abitibi Regents in 1992-93 season. The following season, he moved to Quebec Midget League's AAA Gatineau Intrepide. While with the team, they won the bronze medal during the 1994 Air Canada Cup.

After his stint with the Intrepide, he was selected by the Drummondville Voltigeurs during the 1994 QMJHL Draft. Briere earned several recognitions such as the Michael Bergeron Trophy, Frank J. Selke Memorial Trophy and Jean Beliveau Trophy.

He was chosen by the Phoenix Coyotes as the first round, 24th overall pick during the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. Briere's first four seasons in NHL divided his time for the Coyotes and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons. In 1998, he was named as Dudley Garrett Memorial Award.

Briere was traded off to the Buffalo Sabres during the 2002-2003. During the 2007 All-Star Game, he was hailed as the season's MVP. He finished the season with a career-high of 32 goals, 63 assists, and 95 points. Other teams that he played for include Philadelphia Flyers, German Deutche Eishockey Liga's Eisbaren Berlin, Montreal Canadiens, and Colorado Avalanche.

On August 17, 2015, he officially announced his retirement after 18 years of playing ice hockey.

Daniel Jean-Claude Brière was born on October 6, 1977 in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.
