Alexei Yashin is a former Russian professional ice hockey player with an estimated net worth of $45 million.

Alexei Yashin started his career with the Avtomobilist Sverdlovsk. Eventually, he was promoted to Dynamo Moscow in 1991. A lot of hockey scouts were impressed with his performance on ice. Just before he finished his stint with the Dynamo, he was selected by the Ottawa Senators as the 2nd overall pick during the 1992 NHL Entry Draft.

He earned a nomination for the Calder Trophy and appointed as team captain during the 1998-1999 NHL season.  A dispute over his contract stripped off his captaincy which was handed over to Daniel, instead.. Yashin returned to play for the Senators during the 2000-01 season. He was traded to New York Islanders in 2001 and played with the team in four NHL All-Star Games.

The Islanders decided to buy out the remainder of his contract. Yashin decided to play for the Russian Super League's Lokomotiv Yaroslavi in 2007. Two years later, he moved to Kontinental Hockey League's SKA St. Petersburg. He retired from playing ice hockey following the 2011-2012 season.

Alexei Valeryevich Yashin was born on November 5, 1973 in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Life after retirement, he was appointed as general manager of Russian National Women's Hockey Team in 2012.
