Lee John Westwood, OBE is a wealthy English professional golfer who is worth $65 million. Westwood famously ended Tiger Woods' reign as world No. 1, however, he is now ranked third. He has 21 European Tour victories, two PGA Tour victories, and 14 other victories. Westwood, who is known for his consistency, is one of the few golfers to have won tournaments on all five continents – Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania – including victories on the European Tour and PGA Tour. For 1998, 2000, 2009, and 2020 seasons, Westwood was named European Tour Golfer of the Year.

Westwood, who was born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, began playing golf at the age of 13 with a half set purchased by his grandparents. His father, John, a mathematics teacher, joined him in the game to encourage his son. Lee was a talented athlete in high school, participating in rugby, cricket, and football. He turned professional after winning the British Youths Open Amateur Championship in 1993.

Westwood won his first professional tournament, the Volvo Scandinavian Masters, in 1996, and was quickly followed by the Sumitomo VISA Taiheiyo Masters in Japan. In 1997, he defended his Japanese title and won the Malaysian Open, the Volvo Masters in Spain, and the Holden Australian Open, which he won in a playoff over Greg Norman. He also played in the Ryder Cup with Nick Faldo that year. Westwood has also won tournaments in each of the last four decades, including the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s.

Westwood has won 25 European Tour events as well as tournaments in North America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. His most successful year to date was 2000 when he won seven tournaments worldwide and finished first on the European Order of Merit, putting an end to Colin Montgomerie's long reign on the European Tour. His victory in the Dimension Data Pro-am on the Sunshine Tour in 2000 made him the first golfer to win events on all six International Federation of PGA Tours. The only other golfers to join him on this list are Ernie Els (2005) and Justin Rose (2017). He won the European Tour Order of Merit in 2000, as well as the renamed Race to Dubai in 2009 and 2020.

The Englishman has 13 top-10 finishes in majors, including two second-place finishes and five third-place finishes. This genius golfer has already won $21,334,141 on the PGA Tour. His annual earnings are estimated to be between $2 million and $4 million. Ping Golf Clubs strongly supports Lee. Since his junior year, he has been under contract with them. So, for the time being, he is under contract with them. UPS, a logistics company, has also endorsed him. Sponsorship deals bring him close to  $6.5 million per year.

Lee Westwood was married to Laurae Coltart, the sister of Scottish professional golfer Andrew Coltart in January 1999. Following their marriage, the pair welcomed their firstborn child, a son, on April 12, 2001, followed by their daughter, Poppy Grace, a few years later. Unfortunately, they divorced and Lee is currently with Helen Storey. The couple has been together since 2015 and got engaged in February 2019.
