Yu Darvish is an Iranian-Japanese professional baseball player which has an estimated net worth of $26 million.
Yu Darvish started to play baseball when he was in second grade as a member of Habikino Boys. He was scouted by over 50 high school while in junior high. He landed a spot for Tokohu High's baseball team and played as a pitcher.
He received numerous offers from Anaheim Angels, and Atlanta Braves to play for their respective teams, but Darvish rejected it and remained to play for Japanese professional team. In 2005, he played for the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters which lasted until 2011 when the team were eliminated in the first round of the Pacific League playoffs. He received accolades such as 2006 Asia Series MVP, 2007 Eiji Sawamura Award, and 2007 Pacific League Climax Series MVP.
In 2012, Darvish entered the Major League Baseball and signed a six-year contract with Texas Rangers. He appeared to play during the All-Star games for three consecutive years and named as AL Strikeout Champion in 2013.
Sefat Farid Yu Darvish was born on August 16, 1986 in Habikino, Osaka, Japan. On November 2007, he married Japanese actress Saeko, has two sons and divorced in 2012.
