Max Carey was an American baseball player as center fielder whose net worth at time of death estimated to have been $36 million.

Max Carey's baseball career started when he played for Concordia College. Then, he went to join the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1910 up to 1926. He led the team for winning the World Series championship in 1925. With his excellent base stealer and as a fielder, Carey moved on to play with the Brooklyn Robins until he retired in 1929.

In 1932, he managed the Brooklyn Dodgers for a year and also with other teams such as All-American Girls Professional Baseball League's Milwaukee Chicks and Fort Wayne Daisies.

Maximillian George Carnariusa was born on January 11, 1890 in Terre Haute, Indiana. On May 30, 1976, Carey died in Miami, Florida.
