John Axford is a Canadian professional baseball player with an estimated net worth of $10 million.

John Axford played for Fort Dover Minor Baseball, Team Ontario, and Team Canada. He did 37-12 record, 1.88 earned run average or ERA, 278 innings pitched, and 432 strikeouts, and 173 walks during the span of his stint with the three clubs.

During the 2001 Major League Baseball Draft, he was selected by the Seattle Mariners but Axford accepted an athletic scholarship from University of Notre Dame. In 2005, he was chosen by the Cincinnati Reds as a 42nd round pick of the MLB Drafting but the team declined to offer him a contract after they saw his performance during a match against Golden Griffins. He was approached by the New York Yankees and was signed as a minor-league free agent in 2006.

Axford was released by the Yankees in 2007. A year later, he joined the Milwaukee Brewers. During the 2013 season, he contributed 4.42 ERA in 62 games with the team and was traded off to St. Louis Cardinals. Other teams that he played during his career are Cleveland Indians, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Colorado Rockies.
