Joe Nathan is an American professional baseball player with an estimated net worth of $67 million.

Joe Nathan became part of Pine Bush High School's baseball team. In college, he ended up to Stony Brook Patriots as Division III colleges showed minimal interest on his pitching ability. He was selected by the San Francisco Giants as the sixth round, 159th overall pick for the amateur draft.

He began his minor league season with the Bellingham Giants. Nathan played for Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, A and AA levels for the San Jose Giants and Shreveport Captains. After his stint for the minors in 2000, he spent a lot of time for the Giants.

In 2004, Nathan moved to Minnesota Twins via trade option. He appeared four times at the MLB All-Star Games. He eventually transferred to Texas Rangers after six seasons with the Giants in 2012. During his 2013 season with the team, he achieved 43 saves, and an ERA of 1.3. The Detroit Tigers signed him up for a two-year contract in 2014.
