Joakim Soria played for Winter League's Diablos Rojos del Mexico and Yaquis de Obregon. He also played for the Class-A Fort Wayne Wizards. At age 22, he was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the Rule 5 draft out of San Diego Padres organization in 2006.
