Retired professional baseball catcher Jason Kendall has an estimated net worth of $50 million as of 2012. He is known to be the son of the former professional baseball catcher Fred Kendall, who spent 11 years of his life playing for the Major League Baseball from 1969 through 1980.

Jason Daniel Kendall was born on June 26, 1974 in San Diego, California. While attending Torrance High School, Kendall was drafted out of high school by the Pittsburgh Pirates which chose him as the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 1992 Major League Baseball Draft.

It was in 1996 when he debuted into MLB with Pittsburgh. The Sporting News named Kendall as the NL rookie of the year in 1996. In 2000, Pittsburgh signed Kendall to a six-year $60 million contract. However, when the 2004 season ended, he was traded to the  Oakland Athletics in exchange for Arthur Rhodes, Mark Redman and some cash consideration. He played with the Athletics during the 2005-2006 season but in July 2007, he was again traded to the Chicago Cubs where he spent one season.

In November of the same year, he agreed to a one-year contract with the Milwaukee Brewers. The following year, the Kansas City Royals offered him a two-year deal which he accepted. On July 24, 2012, Jason Kendall officially announced his retirement.
