Gio Gonzalez is an American professional baseball player with an estimated net worth of $23 million.
Gio Gonzalez joined the Hialeah High School baseball team in Florida. He spent three years with the team and won two state championships. In 2004, he moved to Monsignor Edward Pace High School and continued playing baseball.
He was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the first round of the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft. The following year, Gonzalez was traded to Philadelphia Phillies. In 2006, he returned to the White Sox via trade option.
After spending two seasons with the White Sox, Gonzalez was traded once again, this time for the Oakland Athletics in 2008. He was selected to the MLB All-Star Game in 2011 and threw 11 strikeouts with a career-high 16 wins for the season.
Gonzalez traded to the Washington Nationals in 2011. He went 6-5 with a 3.56 ERA during the first half of 2014 season.
