Frank Robinson is a former American baseball player and manager. He started his career when he joined the Cincinnati Reds in 1956. On the same year, he was named as the Rookie of the Year. After his nine-year stint with the Reds, he transferred to the Baltimore Orioles in 1966.

While with the Orioles, the team won the World Series in 1966 and 1970. Robinson hailed as the series' MVP in 1966. He also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels, and Cleveland Indians.

During his stint with the Indians, he was also the manager of the team. Robinson was known as the first black manager in the Majors.  Other teams that he handled are San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Orioles, and Montreal Expos.

Aside from being the manager of baseball teams, he also became coach for California Angeles in 1977, Milwaukee Brewers in 1984 and Baltimore Orioles between 1978-1980, and 1985-1987.

Frank Robinson was born on August 31, 1935 in Beaumont, Texas. He is married to Barbara Ann Cole in 1961 and has two children.
