Volleyball is a game played by two teams that are separated by a net on a rectangular court. Each team is comprised of six players. In order to make a point, the team should be able to send the ball over the opponent’s court and onto the ground. Thus, every member of the team should make sure that the ball doesn’t touch the ground. The rally continues until the ball is not properly returned to the opponent’s court, or when the ball goes out of the line. The winner of the rally will get the point and will serve the ball for the next rally. Volleyball has been around since 1895 but it became a part of the Olympics only in 1964. Previously called mintonette, volleyball was intended to be played indoors as a sort of a pastime. It is worth noting that the nature and rules of this sport was patterned from the concepts of handball and tennis. The first country who has played this sport outside US was Canada.
