A village in Ireland is complaining that fumes from the Viagra manufacturing plant are giving everyone a “hard” time.

Well, maybe complaining isn’t quite the appropriate word.

“It’s amazing the number of people who come to this village, perhaps out of curiosity, and then never leave,” said Sadie O’Grady, a local speaking with the Sunday Times.

“They settle down here. As they say, there’s something in the air — not that we need it, of course. But for some fellas with problems in that department, it can be a blessing.”

Her daughter, Debbie, added, “One whiff and you’re stiff. We’ve been getting the love fumes for years now for free.”

Ringaskiddy is a village in County Cork, Ireland, and has been home to the Pfizer manufacturing plant for over two decades. The plant produces Viagra, the world’s most popular erectile dysfunction medication. It’s also the reason why the tiny village has gained a reputation for men with legendary sexual prowess.

According to locals, on certain days men can be seen rushing home to their partners to take care of a pressing problem. But nobody in the village seems particularly upset by their proximity to the plant.

Although the villagers say that the fumes do cause some odd sights around town.

Fiona Toomey, a psychiatric nurse who recently returned to the village after spending half a decade stateside, says that local dogs are carrying around more than one kind of “bone”.

“Even the dogs here have been known to walk around in a state of sexual excitement,” she said.

Pfizer denies reports that fumes from their factory are to blame for the village’s steely countenance. “Our manufacturing processes have always been highly sophisticated as well as highly regulated,” they said in a statement.

Nurse Toomey remains unconvinced. “I think that Viagra must have got into the water supply,” she countered. “I’m convinced that’s what happened at the very beginning before they were so closely regulated.”

Whether or not you believe Pfizer’s plant is to blame, Sadie would like to remind everyone that it’s not a little blue pill that you need to stay up at night. “I’m a flirtatious woman, a lot of us are. You just have to have a spark, that’s all. There’s a lovely man waiting down the road for me.”
