Hollywood is brimming with many talented faces, and if we search hard enough we just might find that many started off in television commercials. Before achieving epic stardom from their Hollywood roles, many A-listers began their career in the vast world of commercial advertising.

Some of the ads are so old that the stars are almost unrecognizable. The list ranges from fast food chains to hemorrhoid cream, but either way these early performances helped pave the way for these actors. While the individuals in these commercials probably don’t like looking back at some of their first “jobs”, for us viewers it’s quite entertaining! Below are the top 20 commercial’s that feature actors that are now famous.

#20- Megan Mullally- “McDonald’s”

In 1983, a young, squeaky voiced Megan Mullally gained one of her first acting roles on television. The actress starred in a classic "McDonalds" commercial featuring their Egg McMuffin.

#19- Sarah Michelle Gellar- “Burger King”

Sarah Michelle Gellar made her appearance on television in 1981 while starring in a"Burger King" commercial. This adorable acting job by Gellar could have had quite an impact on Gellar landing the role as a vampire slayer.

#18- Jason Alexander- “McDonalds”

During the mid-1980’s, actor Jason Alexander got his break in a "McDonalds" commercial. The high level of energy is extremely evident as Alexander breaks into song and dance as he describes the “Mc DLT.”

#17- Tobey Maguire- “Atari Lynx”

Before he was swinging from buildings as Spiderman, Tobey Maguire got his feet wet while dabbling in commercials. One commercial features a young Maguire in a 1990"Atari Lynx" commercial, which is advertising “California Games.”

#16- Meg Ryan- “Aim”

In the early 1980’s, Meg Ryan involved herself with many television advertisements. One spot she landed was a role in an "aim" toothpaste commercial.

#15- Matt LeBlancc- “Heinz” Ketchup

Actor Matt LeBlanc is famous for being everyone’s favorite food loving “friend”. LeBlanc shares his love for food early on as he stars in a "Heinz" ketchup commercial in 1987.

#14- Keanu Reeves- “Corn flakes”

Keanu Reeves had high energy and tubular acting skills before he gained major Hollywood roles. Reeves can be seen playing a fancy, cute, dancing server for an 80’s"Corn Flakes" commercial.

#13- Elijah Wood- “Pizza Hut”  

Actor Elijah Wood got his start in a small part of an early 1990’s "Pizza Hut" commercial. While it may be cheesy, he went on to achieve super-star status.

#12- Kirsten Dunst- “Baby Doll Surprise”

Kirsten Dunst can be seen in an old, almost vintage looking "Baby Doll Surprise" commercial from 1989. Sporting a fluffy hair style while she takes care of the baby, Dunst performs to a high level of cute star status.

#11- Demi Moore- “Diet Coke”

Before making the A-list, actress Demi Moore starred in a few small commercial roles. Sporting big hair and token 80’s fashion, Moore goes out on a ledge for her part in a 1988 "Diet Coke" commercial.

#10- Lindsay Lohan- “Jell-O”

Before making headlines, some not so positive, Lindsay starred in numerous commercial’s that led to her getting larger roles. One commercial was a 1996 "Jell-O" commercial, which an innocent fresh-faced Lohan starred in with Bill Cosby.

#9- Leonardo DiCaprio- “Bubble Yum”

Back in 1988 young teeny-bopper Leo was showing just how charming he can be while starring in a "Bubble Yum" commercial.

#8- Paul Rudd- “Super Nintendo”

Before he was one of Hollywood’s go to funny guys, Paul Rudd made his appearance in a 1991 "Super Nintendo" commercial. His sweet, passionate video game character is easily relatable as are his future blockbuster roles.

#7- Mila Kunis- “Lisa Frank”

In 1996, a young, 13 year old Mila Kunis starred in a "Lisa Franks" commercial. Her excitement is often overwhelming as she explains her love for the product, but she’s super adorable to say the least.

#6- Ben Affleck- “Burger King”

One of Ben Affleck’s first introductions into the actor business was in a 1989 "Burger King" commercial. He shows how sweet and charming he can be at an early age!

#5- Bryan Cranston- “Preparation H”

Before masterminding a meth empire, Bryan Cranston starred in commercial for hemorrhoids. He sure does look different with a full head of hair in the early 80’s  "Preparation H" commercial.

#4- Steve Carell- “Brown’s Chicken”  

In 1989 Steve Carell starred in a "Brown's Chicken" commercial promoting cholesterol-free fried chicken. Even in a fast-food advertisement, you can instantly recognize his witty humor that has made him a comedic master today.

#3- Bruce Willis- “Levi”

In 1984, a young Bruce Willis starred in a "Levis 501 Jeans" commercial. He’s seen as a free-spirited dancing guy in a bright yellow jacket, which is quite different from his token tough guy roles he went on to play.

#2- Brad Pitt- “Pringles”

Brad Pitt got his start as a shirtless surfer in a 1989 "Pringles" commercial. His role has no lines, but his smile and good looks were clearly enough!

#1- John Travolta- “Safeguard”

In 1975 "Safeguard" bath soap  ran an ad featuring a young, innocent, baby-faced Travolta. He was showcasing his voice and dance skills right off the bat!
