Things between Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian have been on a downward trend for some time, but Kardashian’s July outburst on social media has made it worse, and it’s bordering on ugly. Very ugly.
According to a source speaking with People Magazine, Kardashian and Chyna are no longer on speaking terms and communicate solely through their lawyers. Not only that, the two are still trying to work out a written custody agreement for their 10-month-old daughter, Dream.
“Rob and Chyna only have contact with their lawyers present,” and the the two “disagree on several issues when it comes to Dream,” said the source, who wished to remain anonymous.
Ever since the two split in February, the on-again-off-again relationship between the former stripper and Kardashian seemed like it was going maintain enough stability to raise a child, but then Kardashian took to social media in July with an outburst that virtually ruined any chance the pair had at coming to an amicable custody agreement.
On July 5, 2017, Kardashian posted a series of posts on Twitter and Instagram that not only slammed Chyna but also posted nude photographs and videos of the model. He also accused her of abusing drugs and alcohol and cheating on him with multiple partners during their relationship.
It was at that point lawyers got involved. Releasing naked pictures without expressed permission violates California’s anti-revenge porn laws, and Chyna’s lawyers threatened to sue if Kardashian didn’t give in to her demands regarding custody and spousal support. A California judge also granted a restraining order against Kardashian, preventing him from posting any more images or videos of Chyna online, and also preventing him from coming near her.
“Rob won’t give in to Chyna’s demands. It could get very ugly,” reported the Kardashian tipster.
Lawyers say that both sides are committed to reaching an amicable solution, however, Chyna’s attorney threatened to proceed with civil proceedings if both parties cannot come to an agreement.
For her part, Chyna says she is absolutely committed to co-parenting baby Dream with Kardashian. “I feel that the key to successful co-parenting is communication and respect. I might have one point of view, but hopefully Dream and King’s fathers add theirs, and we can come together to build better people,” she said in an interview last month.
Kardashian has thus far not commented on the issue of Dream’s custody.
