The bitter feud between Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna over their little baby girl’s custody may soon be over after a deal was finally struck between the warring exes.
A few weeks ago Chyna dropped her lawsuit against Kardashian as well as its associated restraining order after Kardashian agreed to pay her $20,000.00 a month in child support fees.
That seems like a lot to pay for child support, but sources speaking with TMZ say that Chyna initially was asking for upwards of 50 grand a month (we’ll do the math for you: that’s $600 grand a year). Kardashian came in at 10k, and after some good old-fashioned haggling, they came to an agreement on 20k a month.
In return for the steep monthly child support, Chyna agreed to drop her pending lawsuit against Kardashian as well as the restraining order. That last bit is a big deal to Kardashian, who reportedly is still head over heels for his baby girl and really wanted to ensure he had at least 50/50 custody of her. The deal actually gives Kardashian a little over 50 percent custody of 10-month-old Dream.
The restraining order came from an episode in last April where Chyna says Kardashian beat her in a domestic dispute. He would later post nude pictures of Chyna on Instagram, an act that would put him at odds with California laws prohibiting revenge porn. The judge granted Chyna a restraining order, which had it remained would have ended Kardashian’s chances for equal custody of Dream.
The only problem is that Rob Kardashian is broke after the breakup put a wrench into their planned reality TV show, Rob & Chyna. Those massive child support payments are coming from the Kardashian family, who seem to count baby Dream as one of the family and wish to ensure that she receives the best upbringing possible.
Part of the $20,000 monthly payments goes directly to nannies caring for Dream, a fact that also shines a harsh light on Chyna’s parenting skills. The Kardashian family is concerned that Chyna is not a particularly good parent, and for good reason. Sources say that Chyna left Dream in the care of her nannies to go out clubbing last weekend.
Having always felt that Chyna’s motivation for the bitter feud was money, the Kardashians have agreed to foot the bill for the time being. That said, Kardashian could ask for a modification of child support payments in the future based on his income, so Chyna may not be getting 20 grand a month forever.
