Marriott Hotel Kicks Woman Out For Not Being A Swinger

An Atlanta woman is suing a Marriott hotel after staff and police removed her from her room for not being a swinger.

Hale Lewis booked a 3-night stay in an Atlanta Marriott hotel for a New Year’s Eve party last year, doing the responsible thing and making sure she didn’t need to drive on the biggest night of annualized drinking there is.

However, Hale wasn’t the only one staying at that particular Marriott. Her floor had been rented out by a group called the “Swingers of Atlanta”, and they were having a grand ol' time.

At one point Lewis met a man in the hallway leading to her room who questioned why she was on the same floor as the swingers convention. Lewis responded that it was just the floor the hotel provided her, but then the man demanded that she pay extra for being on the same floor as the convention. Lewis refused, and after an argument went back to her room.

But Lewis’ struggles were only just beginning. The guy she met in the hallway contacted hotel staff, who then contacted police. The fuzz arrived at Lewis’ door late at night, cuffed her, and tossed her from the premises, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. You’d think that a group all about “free love” would be a little more accepting of people.

Lewis says she booked her room through normal channels and that was just the floor that hotel staff put her on, but apparently her complaints fell on deaf ears as she was dragged from her room in nothing but her pajamas. Court documents don’t say what she did next, but I imagine it involved a lot of screaming in unrestrained rage.

The lawsuit alleges damage to Lewis’ reputation and seeks unspecified damages from Marriott International Inc. Marriott and the Swingers of Atlanta group have yet to comment on the suit.
