Lindsay Lohan deleted her entire Instagram recently, and nobody knows what’s going on.
The Mean Girls actress recently swept her entire Instagram account clean by deleting all her previous posts, confusing her 6.3 million followers.
For about a day or so, the only post Lindsay had was a short video where she said: "bye bye Instagram!” Lohan then blew a kiss at the camera while music played in the background. The video also had a filter which made it seem like she was underwater.
Now the only post on her account is a selfie of Lohan and her sister Ali captioned “love you sister!”
This isn’t the first time Lohan has swept her account clean. In January of 2017, she similarly wiped out her account. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Lohan said she was "in a period of renewal, and is very excited for what the new year holds."
"I am so excited for this new chapter in my life!” Lohan added.
Perhaps this it’s now just a Lohan tradition to delete your social media accounts and start fresh every year?
It seems likely, given that Lohan has also deleted most of her Twitter posts as well, leaving only a single post where she seems to be advocating her role as Batgirl in an upcoming movie.
Not all of her Twitter followers were on board with this plan.
Earlier in January, Lohan appeared on The Wendy Williams Show to discuss her online petition to become the next Batgirl, but also how she plans on building her own island in Dubai (dubbed Lohan Island, of course), her work on the second season of the British television sitcom Sick Note, as well as her plans to release a Lohan brand of beauty products in the coming year.
There are very few details on her upcoming makeup line, but a brief snapshot showed lipsticks, lip liner, a powder compact, and mascara. The logo “LL” was also briefly visible, although we don’t know the exact name of the product line.
While Lohan is still as quirky as ever, she’s sober, and that’s really the best anyone can hope for.
