Courtney Stodden is riding an emotional roller coaster right now, and her estranged husband, Doug Hutchison, doesn’t seem too concerned. The couple is getting divorced, and despite her tear-filled social media posts, the legal proceeding will continue.
Stodden has been an open book lately, posting some extremely dramatic video confessions. The post of her crying on Dec. 30, 2018, set it off, and things have slowly progressed from there. While the girl seems to be crumbling, Hutchison says, "I don’t think even Superman could be married to that woman."

Hutchinson went on to say that he loves her, and wishes her the best, however. Hutchinson also stated that Stodden had already found a sugar daddy who was paying her way and feeding her desperate need for attention. “She doesn't have any money, and he started paying her rent, and she really wants to stay in Hollywood," he said, "She is addicted to fame.” Those are pretty harsh words, and Hutchison is obviously ready to move on.
Meanwhile, Stodden sounds depressed and dejected. In an Instagram post, in early January, she said, “So, obviously, I’ve been crying again. And I just wanna be honest with you guys... Me and my husband have been going through a really rough time. Separation and ultimately divorce here. And... at the last minute, I realize that I don’t want it. And I wanna try to make things work.”
She continued, “I’ve been really depressed and I’ve realized that I don’t deserve him. I love him so much and I need him back in my life. I just need him to come help me and be with me and I love him.”
More recent posts have proven that she’s trying to maintain a happier outlook. In an Instagram post on Jan. 15, 2018, she filmed herself pole-dancing, with the caption, “Spinning my way into a healthy mind.”
On Jan. 28, 2018, she posted another video, looking pretty disheveled, and singing, “I Will Always Love You.” She wrote in that caption that she is “going through a lot, but feeling some sense of relief.”
The saddest part of this story is the very personal tragedy involved. Courtney admitted to People that she recently had a miscarriage. Divorce proceedings immediately followed the emotional loss, which would send anyone into a downward spiral.
In the People interview, Stodden was also asked about the age gap with Hutchison. Stodden infamously married the actor (Green Mile, 24, CSI) when she was 16, and he was 51. Stodden said that it was difficult to grow up being married and that sometimes she felt 57, and other times she felt like seven. The 23-year old actress, singer, and social media star was married to Hutchison for six years.
