The Cash Me Outside Girl has gotten some big-time legal muscle to help deal with a lingering probation case from her “troubled” days.
Danielle Bregoli, aka Bhad Barbie, aka The Cash Me Outside Girl hired Doug Duncan to join her legal team along with Scott Richardson. The two high-priced lawyers are helping Bregoli deal with a case that the budding rapper pleaded guilty to back in May of 2017.
Doug Duncan is the same lawyer who represented Tiger Woods during his famous DUI trial last year.
The 14-year-old rapper was given five years probation last May after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including two counts of grand theft, possession of marijuana, and filing a false police report. The charges are from an incident that took place well before Bregoli became famous for uttering her catchphrase on the Dr. Phil episode in 2016.
During Bregoli’s more troubled youth, she allegedly stole her mother’s purse and car and then lied to police after eventually being caught. As part of a plea deal, Bregoli pleaded guilty to reduced charges and was sentenced to five years probation. Among other things, the probation stipulated a 5 PM curfew requiring her to be in the presence of a parent at all times afterward.
After Bregoli struck it rich by turning her Cash Me Outside catchphrase into a social media presence, and later into a multi-million dollar record deal, things calmed down quite a bit between at the Bregoli home in California. Since then Bregoli has been seen with her mother on many occasions and even did a short YouTube video where she sang some of Bhad Barbie’s lyrics.
Bregoli’s legal team appeared in court on Thursday to modify the conditions of her parole to allow her managerial team to be counted as guardians for the purposes of her curfew. This slight modification should allow Bregoli to spend more time in the studio, according to TMZ, as well as travel more.
Could we be on the verge of a Bhad Barbie national tour? It certainly seems like it.
