Someone’s getting ready for the holidays, and it looks like she’s doing it in style.
Ariel Winter took to the streets of Los Angeles Monday to get her holiday shopping in early—a noble goal we should all aspire to. We should also aspire to Winter’s gym-honed legs and booty, which were both on full display.
Photographers captured Winter as she gassed up her SUV in preparation for the outing. Winter wore red Ivy Park leggings (Beyoncé’s line of sportswear) along with an understated black crop top and matching black sneakers. She decided to channel a little of her Modern Family character’s chic with a pair of big wire-framed glasses that are just perfect for the nerd on the go.
Not that Winter has ever been accused of nerdom.
Winter was prepared for the elements with a black sweater worn around her waist, and hair done up in a ponytail to stay out of her way while she’s elbowing rival holiday shoppers.
Her most recent outing is hot on the tails of spending some quality time with her old man, Glenn Workman. Winter and Pops strolled around downtown LA without a care in the world, the two of them wearing smiles wherever they went. Along with their good cheer, Winter also wore a simple long-sleeved top with speckled leggings and matching white sneakers. As for dad, he just bummed around in jeans like most normal people would.
Winter's close relationship with her father puts a stark contrast on the strained relationship with her mother, Crystal Workman. Two months ago, Winter told spoke about her relationship with her mother and her mother’s parenting had been anything but kind. She accused Workman of forcing her to wear revealing clothes as well as heavily restricting her diet.
Speaking with Inside Edition, Workman vehemently denies the allegations. “That’s ridiculous," the distraught mother said. "She's just lying."
Winter’s relationship with her mother has been strained for years following her emancipation. Winter’s sister was granted legal guardianship of her in 2014 after settling a court case where Winter alleged her mother physically and emotionally abused her. Workman continues to deny any wrongdoing and believes Winter is lying solely for publicity.
“I think she wants the headlines, I think she craves the attention and it if it means throwing your mother under the bus and breaking her heart, she's going to do it," she said.
