The votes are in and Happy, the new McDonald's happy meal mascot is the stuff of nightmares. This terrifying monstrosity is just another in a long line of weird marketing campaigns.

1. Burger King's "The King"

The king of creepy was on our airwaves for what felt like a century. You couldn't turn on the TV without seeing a commercial with him and subsequently feeling uncomfortable for the rest of the day. Thankfully, BK ousted the King in 2011 after 6% drop in sales in their first quarter, according to Forbes.

2. The Inspector Gadget Happy Meal

While Inspector Gadget may not have been the most memorable movie of the 90s, McDonalds thought it would be a great idea to promote it by creating this ad. Somewhere in suburbia, there's a lonely man still playing with households objects and revealing his stomach to a table full of children.

3. Wendy's and the Soviet Fashion Show

It's difficult to tell if this is cold war propaganda or a commercial for "hot and juicy" burgers. In Soviet Russia, the clothes wear you.

4. Taco Bell's Music Cups

This is what would happen in Taco Bell and early MTV had a baby after a nuclear disaster.

5. Wendy's Where the Beef?

Where's the beef was all kinds of sexually suggestive. Big Buns? Not enough beef no thanks? These older women complaining about small meat size is particularly uncomfortable.

6. Dino Sizing

Have you ever wished you could eat a container the size of a 1,000 square foot building, and see Laura Dern make a horrified looking face? Well now you can!

7. Disco King

Before there was a creepy king, there was a creepy Duke. Burger King encouraged customers to disco down to Burger King, in an early effort to combat high caloric content with exercise.

8. McDonalds' Outreach to Single Dads

In this sad little commercial, a boy explains to his friends that his mom is out of town and wouldn't you know it, his lazy dad  has forgot his kid's lunch at his bachelor pad. So super dad brings a nutritious lunch of McDonalds to school. It's like a hallmark card.

9. Nannerpuss

Denny's created Nannerpuss only to destroy him a grand slam. It might be America's greatest tragedy.

10. The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald

McDonalds released a series of live action/ cartoon bonus movies that were a pure, unadulterated rip off of Pee Wee's playhouse. McDonalds was not above copying the famous sexual deviant's style in an effort to maintain their child customers' loyalty.

11. The very first Ronald McDonald.

The first Ronald McDonald is somehow more unnerving than the current mascot. He does everything that boys and girls do, or so he says. Watch at your own risk.
