The new Samsung Galaxy S4 to dethrone the iPhone?

The highly successful and highly anticipated new member of the Samsung Galaxy line, the Galaxy S4, showcased in New York City on March 14. The new phone comes packed with a ton of new features such a bigger screen, higher resolution (441 ppi), an impressive 13-megapixel camera and a feature that lets you scroll through webpages with simply hand gestures. To make sure this phone will run like butter, it will sport a 1.6GHz Exynos 5 Octa or a 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, a massive 2,600 mAh battery and run Android's latest version 4.2.2 "Jelly Bean". But is it enough to make iPhone lovers switch platforms?

The iPhone isn't the only rival for Samsung's new flagship phone, HTC's One is also a hot contender. Samsung is said to be nearing its sale of 100 million smartphones all around the world and with these impressive improvements, it won't be a surprise if Samsung's new flagship phone sells by the millions within the first days of it's release. Experts say that Apple will have to pull a rabbit out of it's hat to make sure it stays in competition and doesn't lose its extremely loyal fans.

It's been reported the new Samsung Galaxy S4 will go on sale on April 26 in the UK and pre-orders will begin on March 28. No word on the release date for the US nor its price. How will Apple's new iPhone stack up against these smartphones? We will have to wait and see how Apple will respond.
