The 10 Most Expensive Celebrity Cars Ever

There are certain possessions that indicate wealth and status above anything else. Designer clothes, although they can be very expensive, are affordable to many people if they really prioritize fashion and scour the Internet. But other possessions, such as houses and watches, which can be so exaggeratedly expensive that only the wealthiest members of society can obtain them, are a better clue into a person’s level of wealth. In this list, we have found the 10 celebrities with the most expensive rides in Hollywood.

Granted, it’s possible that sometimes these cars are just a loan from a company that wants a celebrity to promote them. The Bugatti in the Ace Hood video was probably not actually Ace Hood’s Bugatti. He probably rented it from some company that was like "have fun and there better not be one stitch of damage on this thing when we get it back, bye!!!"

But other times, the cars actually belong to these people. Some, for example, are collectors. They buy the car and then park it in their backyard hangar and spend Sundays windexing the headlights and making sweet love to the front seat’s supple leather. Either way, we are suspending our disbelief. If a celebrity has been photographed in the driver’s seat, it’s theirs.

Are you ready? Here come 10 of Hollywood’s most expensive sets of wheels!

10 David Beckham – Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead - $407k

via jusbeef254.com

Although he has a famous set of legs, David Beckham doesn’t walk anywhere. And why should he? He has a Rolls Phantom Drophead sitting in his driveway. The British soccer player and underwear model probably takes his car down the block to get bagels.

Unfortunately for him, L.A. traffic is so bad that he probably can’t get the good torque that he wants. And, as we all remember from Victoria Beckham’s 2007 Coming to America, the Beckham clan most certainly resides in SoCal.

9 Rick Ross – Maybach 57 - $430k

Rick Ross, the big fat rapper who recently became a fit man, didn’t do it by walking around like so many online weight-loss tips suggest. No, he’s still rolling around in a half-million dollar Maybach. And, if we’re being perfectly honest, we would drop a half mil on a car if Drake had called us “the biggest boss in the game.”

Well, technically he said “besides Ricky Ross I’m the biggest boss in the game,” but we extrapolated. Either way, Rick Ross’s Maybach 57 by the makers of Mercedes Benz is the 9th most expensive car in the hills of Hollywood.

8 Jay Leno – Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren - $500k

Via: wikipedia.org

Jay Leno is one the car collectors that we mentioned. The crown jewel in his collection of cars is the SLR McLaren that NBC went so far as to stage and photograph for their online series on Jay Leno’s garage.

Now Jay Leno is a relatively unassuming guy. For a long, long time he was America’s comic, coming on TV every night before people went to bed and chatting with celebrities. But he racked up astronomical amounts of money for doing so, money that allowed him to buy this ½ million dollar car, that, based on the pictures, doesn’t seem like it has suffered tremendous wear and tear.

7 Nick Cage – Ferrari Enzo - $670k

Nick Cage’s Ferrari Enzo is one of the most expensive cars ever owned by a celebrity. Unfortunately for him, since his career has tanked recently, he’s had to let go of the beautiful, mechanical beast.

There was a time, however, when Nick could be seen speeding through Hollywood on six-hundred and seventy thousand dollars of pure, Italian automotive grace. Maybe, since his Moonstruck days, he’s had a thing for Italiana. Either way, he’s #7 on this list of the most expensive celebrity cars ever.

6 Jerry Seinfeld – Porsche 959 - $700k

via therichest.com

Jerry Seinfeld has 46 Porsches. Can you imagine that? He has more Porsches in his house than most people have pairs of underwear in their dresser. Seinfeld was one of the most successful shows ever made, making the actors and creators millions of dollars every year in syndication still literally decades after it started.

That might explain why Seinfeld can afford the super expensive cars in his garage, and why he might want to showcase them in his online show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. At $700k, his Porsche 959 is one of the most expensive cars in the lanes of Sunset Boulevard.

5 Kanye West – Lamborghini Aventador - $750k

via kanyetothe.com

Poor Kanye West… His $750,000 Lamborghini Aventador just recently got crushed in between Kim Kardashian’s electric gates. Until it was tragically smashed into, his car was one of the most expensive cars ever owned by a Hollywoodian.

It would make sense that the man married to one of the most sought after women in the world would drive one of the most sought after cars in the world. Nothing to worry about, Kanye West later spent $1.2 million EACH on a set of heavily armored vehicles to ensure the safety of his wife and child, North West.

4 Simon Cowell – Bugatti Veyron - $1.7 million

via luxuryandlifestyles.com

Simon Cowell is a very, very wealthy man. He was a judge on American Idol, and then on The X Factor, and then on America’s Got Talent, each of them extraordinarily successful shows that brought in lots of money for this thorny Brit.

It makes sense that Cowell would have enough money to pay for something as expensive as a 1.7 million dollar Bugatti. They say, “if you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything!” But Simon Cowell never had anything nice to say and twice (he only drove it twice before selling it) he drove on more money than most people will make in aggregate over their entire life. Maybe we should all start being meaner.

3 Birdman – Bugatti Veyron – $2 million

via autoevolution.com

If it were up to us, and we owned a Bugatti Veyron, it would never even leave the garage. “What if the acid ph in rain is too high today?!?” we’d think, wanting to protect our 2 million dollar investment. But Birdman, the 41 year old rapper from Louisiana, not only takes his car out and around, he’s cavalier enough to lend it to the notoriously irresponsible Justin Bieber.

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, Birdman let JB drive his 2 million dollar car. Lending your car, any car, to Justin Bieber is potentially the only thing more shocking than dropping 2 million dollars on a set of wheels in the first place.

2 Lil Wayne – Black Bugatti Veyron – 2.7 million

via carwallpapers.ru

As we’ve seen, the Bugatti Veyron is an expensive piece of machinery. It cost Simon Cowell 1.7 million and Birdman 2 million. But beating them both is Lil Wayne, whose car cost him 2.7 million.

Depending on the trappings that you add to the car at the dealership, it can really drive up the price (fabric of the seats, wheels, stereo system, and so on.) Lil Wayne apparently opted for the most expensive of everything, because his car is close to being twice the price of Cowell’s. Either way, it’s a ridiculously big ticket item. But with all the bells and whistles, it’s even more unnecessary.

1 Jay Z – Maybach Exelero - $8 million

via koremagazine.com

“Of course sometimes sh*t go down when there’s a billion dollars in the elevator,” says Beyonce on the remix of her song “***Flawless.” She was referring to the time that Solange tried to beat the shit out of her husband as they moved between floors. But more importantly is the reference to the “billion dollars.”

Jay Z and Beyonce are some of the wealthiest people on earth. Although her music evinces humility, his choice of automobile does not. $8 million on a car, which depreciates quickly, does not seem humble. Then again, rappers are sort of known for having big egos…
