We've all watched Selena Gomez grow up before our eyes. Gomez was born in Grand Prairie, Texas to Ricardo Joel Gomez and Amanda Dawn "Mandy" Cornett. As you might have expected, Gomez was named after Tejano singer and actress Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, who passed away in 1995. Although Cornett was only 16 years old when Gomez was born, she managed to raise her daughter on her own with the help of her grandparents. She later married her second husband, Brian Teefey, and the couple had a daughter, Grace Elliott Teefey, on June 12, 2013. In addition, Gomez has a second sister, Victoria "Tori" Gomez, who was born on June 25, 2014 from Ricardo's second marriage to his second, wife Sara.

Gomez first became interested in acting after watching her mother prepare for stage productions. She began her acting career as Gianna in the children's TV series Barney and Friends, where she met fellow Disney alum, Demi Lovato. She broke through on the Disney channel, playing roles on TV series like The Suite Life Of Zach & Cody, Hannah Montana, and Wizards of Waverly Place. Like Lovato, she later made her solo musical debut while dealing with personal issues. Today, she serves as the executive producer for the Netflix show 13 Reasons Why and is currently dating The Weeknd. Making the long story short, she went from an adorable child star to a sophisticated leading lady. With that being said, let's take a look at Gomez's 10 most seductive and five worst outfits.

Laid Back (Hot)

Selena Gomez may spend most of her time in California, but she still knows how to dress like a New Yorker. Shortly before she turned 25, the songstress hung out in the Big Apple with her friends, and we're loving her laid-back SoHo vibes. At the time, she released her new single, "Bad Liar," and was on the East Coast to see her boyfriend, The Weeknd, who had a few shows in New York and New Jersey. However, she was out and about with the girls yesterday, wandering through Manhattan in the cutest summer outfit. She wore a fuzzy sleeveless ALEXACHUNG sweater that featured multicolored stripes with a pair of high-waisted jeans cropped just above her ankle. She slipped on a pair of orange Mansur Gavriel sandals with a chunky heel, yellow-tinted sunglasses, and a small cross-body bag for an effortlessly cool look. She also let her hair fall down over her shoulders.

Belly Shirt Dress - Worst

Selena Gomez is a young actress who is, without a doubt, very beautiful. She quickly managed to break away from the Disney tween image that she had going on for many years. We have to realize she's not Alex Russo in Wizards Of Waverly Place nor Mikayla in Hannah Montana anymore. She decided to wear a two-piece midriff dress to the 2013 SXSW Film Festival, which caused a lot of people to scratch their heads and ask "why?"

It's very clear that Gomez turned many heads by wearing this unconvincing dress, and Yahoo labeled her outfit as "Bikini Inspired" on its website. It surely has a very tropical feel to it. She can certainly wear it because it's a personal choice and not ours, but the question is, "How do you feel about it?" Is it a fashion style that you would embrace, or is it something that only the stars will look at?

Polka Dots

Selena Gomez definitely dressed to impress at the 2008 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party on Thursday in Los Angeles, California. The then-16-year-old wore a Luella black polka dress to the star-studded event. She accessorized the dress with a Salvatore Ferragamo bag and shoes. She may have been too young to be considered a hottie, but she was pretty in polka dots and looked so cute—like she was ready for a romantic date.

Gomez apparently had a great time at the event and hung out on the rooftop of The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, despite the fact her best friend, Demi Lovato, wasn't in attendance. Lovato started production for her upcoming Disney TV show, and JustJared.com exclusively revealed that she was scheduled to make an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at the end of September of 2008. She taped her interview on September 30, and it aired on live television on October 1.

Selena Gomez wasn't kidding when she said she wanted to look good for you. The pop singer put her fashionable closet on display on June 5, 2017 in New York City when she wore six outfits in just one day.

Let's start with Gomez' first outfit that day. The 13 Reasons Why executive producer wore a chic, navy blue Jacquemus wrap dress that ended inches above her knees. She paired the fitted dress with Louis Vuitton crystal flower sandals that sell for $1,060. The ankle strap sandal was made out of black goat suede and featured a transparent heel. In an attempt to neutralize the look, she opted for light makeup and kept her hair loose, which was the right way to go about it. Sometimes, less is more, and the natural beauty look can work wonders. She may be a red carpet veteran with a dedicated group of fans, who love her for the right reasons.

Athleisure - Worst

When Selena Gomez took her family to Disneyland, she was dressed down in a navy Adidas pullover and matching sweats. The athleisure ensemble was cute and cozy, but it didn't exactly scream "I'm at Disneyland!" until we saw a glimpse of her Alice in Wonderland bag. The 1970s-style graphics were printed on the front of her shoulder bag and referenced several characters and important items, including the potion bottle from the animated film. It was clear that this accessory completely changed the direction of her theme park look.

Gomez's ensemble wasn't a bad choice for the happiest place on Earth, but it wasn't the most stylish either. She topped off her comfortable look with a pair of Converse Jack Purcell low-top sneakers. The focus was mainly on her Alice in Wonderland bag, which isn't a bad thing. But our celebrity-obsessed eyes should be focusing on her outfit, not her accessories.

All-Black Ensemble

These days, Selena Gomez is looking better than ever. The brunette beauty flew out of Los Angeles in early June to see her boyfriend, The Weeknd, and was definitely dressed to impress as she flaunted her toned abs in a black crop top and finished off the rocker-esque look with a black leather biker's jacket and a pair of black slacks.

The Weeknd is the luckiest guy in the world to have Selena Gomez as his girlfriend, and it seems like being in love has her wanting to look her very best. Gomez spent the week in southern California due to work assignments and was totally ready for the weekend to arrive, so she could fly out to reunite with her sweetheart. She obviously wanted to look her best for her man as she headed out of Los Angeles International Airport. Seriously, who looks this hot to get on an airplane?

Blue Checkers

Matching sets have been a huge trend in the last couple of years. Remember when Taylor Swift ran around New York City in crop tops, skater skirts, and high heels in 2015 and 2016? Now, her friend, Selena Gomez, picked up the matchy-matchy baton, and we couldn’t have asked for a better explanation.

While attending We Day California 2017, Gomez rocked a blue checkered two-piece set by Brock Collection. Her heavenly outfit included several hot trends at once. The cropped button-front top features a stylish off-the-shoulder look, and the flare pants matched perfectly. She completed the look with a pair of blue Christian Louboutin heels.

Is anyone else getting major Clueless vibes? This set is basically what Cher Horowitz would wear if she went to high school in 2017. Also, if worn separately, each piece can still look great on its own. All in all, we'd say Cher would approve of this look, and she would get bonus points for pulling it off.

Floral Dress - Worst

There's no doubt that Selena Gomez is a fashion inspiration. Whether it's her chic workout looks or her eye-catching footwear, the singer-songwriter continues to be style goals. So it's no wonder that she'd hit up Coachella 2017 with an outfit to remember. But this time, it was remembered for the wrong reasons.

As expected, Gomez brought the Coachella charm with a summer dress. She snapped her head-to-toe look and shared it with her Instagram followers via a story. However, we're unsure if people are thinking about recreating this look all summer long. According to her stylist, Christian Classen, she wore a Nora sundress by HVN in "Falling Floral," a blue and white design with spaghetti straps along with a below-the-knee hemline. She completed the look with a matching scarf, minimal jewelry, Alain Mikli Paris sunglasses, white ASH sneakers, and loosely pulled back hair. While it's the perfect outfit for frolicking in the desert and enjoying the sunshine, it's not really suitable for a young lady.

Red Hot

Selena Gomez stunned in Valentino at the 2015 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards at Carnegie Hall on November 9, 2015 in New York City. The singer certainly stood out in the crowd by wearing a Valentino Pre-Fall 2013 dress that mixed equally enticing textures of patent leather and sheer chiffon. She played up the dress' shine factor with a pair of platinum Charlotte Olympia peep-toe heels.

While we often find Gomez's edgier looks hard to digest, this Valentino dress successfully married youthful charm with glossy toughness. Its patent leather bodice made this demurely cut dress seem a little naughty. She looks like the lady in red that looked so lovely for the British-Irish singer-songwriter Chris DeBurgh in his 1986 music video for his hit song "Lady In Red." We won't forget how she looked so gorgeous and shined so bright that one night. After all, she's perfection in our eyes.

One Leg Out

To celebrate the opening night of her Revival tour in Las Vegas, Selena Gomez changed out of her show outfit, slipped into a long silver Galvan London slip dress with spaghetti straps, and showed off her bronzed legs. She gave her classic look a bold twist with a pair of feathery Manolo Blahnik heels.

The slip dress is forever and Galvan London does it best. With a daring high slit and a plunging neckline, Gomez' gown is perfect for virtually any Las Vegas nightclub. She helped us embrace one of our favorite 1990's trends with a metallic glow. When the singer released her coming-of-age album, she was going through major life changes and becoming an adult, and this tour was a celebration of that time. While talking about her debut of "Good For You" with Rolling Stone in early 2016, Gomez said, "I felt confident and comfortable in who I am. I felt sexy. I was aching to do stuff like that."

Dinosaur Sweater - Worst

Selena Gomez was the talk of the town when she confirmed that she was partnering with Coach, Inc. She'll star in the brand's ad campaigns and work with the Coach Foundation's charitable efforts with girls' empowerment organization, Step Up. However, Gomez won't actually be whipping up a whole capsule collection. Instead, she'll be designing a single piece in tandem with Coach's executive creative director, Stuart Vevers, as part of their fall 2017 collection.

Rexy is Coach 1941's mascot. The dinosaur has played a recurring role in the brand's aesthetic for the past few seasons, popping up in stores and even inspiring whole capsule collections. Out of all the T-Rex-themed merchandise, Gomez chose a playful graphic sweater featuring the dinosaur across the front. The performer put her own spin on the look, layering it over a white turtleneck and tucking it into a pair of high-waisted, frayed-edge jeans. And just like that, this elementary school trend was nostalgic, but not high fashion.

Unexpected Color Combos

There are certain color combinations that we all know match—black and white, blue and silver, or purple and gold. But those aren't your only options for your wardrobe as unexpected combos like carrot orange and royal purple are new, pretty and original.

In this case, Selena Gomez has found your perfect ensemble for a girl's night out with your girlfriends. While out and about in New York City, she wore a flashy Rodarte dress that perfectly balanced a simple silhouette with unexpected color combinations, which echoes a downtown vibe. She styled the look with satin Giuseppe Zanotti booties, making it perfect for the chilly December nights. Rodarte is one of her favorite brands, and we don't blame her for having it in her heart. She's a classy girl who likes to have a good time. The only thing that could have made this ensemble more city slicker-like is a glass of red wine. Cheers!

Backless Gown

Selena Gomez once stepped out on the red carpet in an Armani Privé slinky black gown. She paired the sophisticated ensemble with gold statement earrings and cuff bracelets. She looked absolutely gorgeous before performing at the 2014 American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California. We certainly prefer this look from the side and the back, where the backless detail of the dress adds excitement for the after-party mischief. Also, she kept the attention on her incredible body with a simple bun-inspired up-do.

Gomez's stylist, Kate Young, said, "This Giorgio Armani Privé gown was super-modern... But it was more of a frame for her insane body than a conscious fashion moment." While we'll never be the ones to argue with modern sophistication, this look translated as rather fun and youthful for the singer-actress, especially for an annual event on national television like the American Music Awards.

No Pants Look - Worst

No matter how many times we want to see Selena Gomez dress in provocative clothing, we're still not wanting to see tons of nudity. The 25-year-old dressed down in an over-sized red Rodarte jersey while stopping by a local organic grocery store with her boyfriend, The Weeknd, in Los Angeles, California on August 20, 2017. The superstar couple exchanged some low-key public display of affection that day, and the young lady had her arm around her beau while she gave him a kiss on the shoulder.

Grocery shopping is a chore, but Gomez's outfit was way too casual for an errand. The Rodarte jersey totally swamped her bottoms, which resulted in the no-pants look. If you look closely at the hem of her jersey, it appears that a lace from her shorts is peeking out from underneath. At least The Weeknd took the opposite route and covered up in all things Puma.

Tanzanite Dress

In the last couple of years, Selena Gomez has undergone a style transformation with a wardrobe of sleek monochromatic looks that are all grown up. In February of 2016, the pop star took the bare-backed aesthetic to the next level. While Gomez didn't perform at the Grammy Awards, she had a very important role as a presenter at the awards show. She arrived on the arm of her date, Taylor Swift, who was nominated for seven awards.

The brilliant tanzanite color of Gomez's Calvin Klein gown was a nod to Michelle Pfeiffer's dress in the 1983 crime drama Scarface. Kate Young commented on her client's dress, saying, "The red carpet dress was the color of the one Michelle Pfeiffer wore in Scarface...I loved the idea of a disco party dress." In addition, the plunging neckline and high slits amped up her s*x appeal and put the finishing touches for what was a sparkling fashion moment.
