Celebrities are usually treated like they’re from another planet. It’s easy to forget that celebs are people too. It’s also easy for celebrities to forget they’re people. They make millions of dollars, appear on late night talk shows, break records, and have thousands of screaming fans. For some, the success can go straight to their heads. Some celebs can be loved and admired while other celebs can be despised and hated. Many famous people are treated like royalty and they act like it too. Wherever they go, they get the red carpet treatment and are always the center of attention. That’s not to say all stars behave like the world owes them more than what they’ve earned. Other celebrities are more humble and seem more relatable to a wide range of social communities.
More often than not, fans dream of the day when they can finally meet their favorite celebrity. It doesn’t matter whether they’re A, B, C, or even D celebrities. They are influential and are sometimes considered as heroes by their fans. Like the old saying goes, or at least the paraphrased version, it’s not smart to meet your heroes because they can disappoint you. So, the next time you’re on the hunt for your friendly neighborhood celebrity, take a look at this list before you go. There are two types of celebrities—jerks and the nice ones. You never really know which one you’re going to get. Here is a look at 8 Celebs Who Are Jerks In Real Life and 8 Who Are Incredibly Nice.
16. Russell Crowe (Jerk)
Russell Crowe is an Academy Award-winning actor who co-owns a rugby team and has his own band. He also has the tendency to be a colossal jerk from time to time. In 2005, he was arrested and charged after throwing a telephone at a concierge. Russell was having difficulty making a phone call and when the concierge wouldn’t make the call, Crowe lost his mind. He’s been very rude to his fellow celebs. He once told actress Rebel Wilson to “F*** ***” after she tried to say hello. He called out Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford, and George Clooney for being sellouts because they appeared in commercials. Clooney responded by mocking Crowe’s band. Crowe then ranted at Clooney and called him “a Frank Sinatra wannabe!” Clooney wrote a letter to Crowe saying, “Dude, the only people who succeed when two famous people are fighting is People magazine. What the [expletive] is wrong with you?” Crowe eventually apologized and sent Clooney some of his music.
15. Jack Black (Nice)
Jack Black sometimes plays loud and obnoxious characters in his films. He appears to be loud and obnoxious, but in real life, he’s much nicer. A fan on Reddit posted a story about the time Jack was at the movie theater he worked in. At one point, Jack spilled his popcorn all over the front row. The fan said, “I saw this and went over to clean it up, but he told me to have a seat, took my broom, and cleaned it up himself.” This isn’t something new for Jack because he’s been this nice his whole life. When he was in elementary school, he hid candy all over the playground for his fellow classmates to find.
14. Katherine Heigl (Jerk)
From afar, Katherine Heigl seems like the sweetest person alive. However, the closer you get, the meaner she gets; especially if you’re a writer. Katherine Heigl first rose to fame with her breakout role on the Shonda Rhimes series, Grey’s Anatomy. She also starred in the films Knocked Up and 27 Dresses. On a few occasions, she has criticized the films she’s starred in and left her co-stars, writers, and producers feeling slighted. She once turned down an Emmy nomination for her role on Grey’s Anatomy. She felt that the material she was given didn’t deserve to be nominated for an award. This angered the producers and writers who felt insulted. Later, rumors ran rampant that she was unhappy on Grey’s and wanted out. In 2010, she didn’t show up for work and soon got out of her million-dollar contract. Apparently, Shonda’s newer show, Scandal, is an easier task with a “tight cast.” Shonda said about Scandal, “There are no Heigls in this situation.”

The interview included Seth Rogen, James Franco, and Danny McBride to promote This is the End. It was a silly and fun interview until Jonah showed up late. Before the interview started, Seth warned the reporter that Jonah is “serious.” Jonah was asked what type of farter he is and bluntly responded, “I’m not answering that dumb question! I’m not that kind of person! Being funny in a movie doesn’t make me have to answer dumb questions.” Once during an altercation, he hurled homophobic slurs at the paparazzi, but later apologized. He refuses to give fans autographs and instead hands out business cards that read, “I just me Jonah Hill. It was a total letdown.”

He’s even called his die-hard “Beliebers” obnoxious. Later, he cancelled all meet-and-greets with his fans. Eventually, he wouldn’t even take pictures with any of them. He made an enemy out of UFC fighter Ronda Rousey after he refused to give her sister an autograph. He’s also pretty horrible to his neighbors.
