Being a celebrity can be a pretty cushy gig. Making more money than the masses while given free stuff and the star treatment seems awesome in our book. In fact, there are loads of people who would see it as a dream come true to be invited to a red carpet event that was attended by other famous people. However, as extraordinary as that sounds once you’re a star and have attended one or two of them, the pressure that they include could make you feel stress when prepping to show up at one.

Often attended by a slew of famous people, these events are also choked filled with photographers and camera people that are there to record every moment. As such, there is no doubt that the famous folk present will put a lot of effort into looking their best, especially due to the colossal publicity opportunities. That means the idea of wearing something attention-grabbing seems like a smart move. But if you go too far and your clothes fail you, in the blink of an eye, the world may see more of you than planned. Realizing this is what inspired us to put together this list of twenty red carpet moments where celebrities couldn’t stay covered up.

In order for a moment to be considered for inclusion on this list, it has to feature someone who is known to a sizable group of people on a red carpet or just outside of one. It doesn’t matter what they owe their fame to, which means you could find actors, musicians, athletes, or other popular personalities incorporated here. On top of that, for at least a moment, they need to have exposed either their private parts or their underwear without meaning to, as best as we can tell. That means you won’t find instances in which someone intentionally wore something that showed off the goods in order to court controversy and attention. Finally, for the purposes of this list, an actual red carpet doesn’t have to be present as long as it is set up for celebrities to walk down a line in front of fans and/or photographers in the public.

Zaina Dridi

An Italian actress, model, and beauty pageant competitor, Zaina Dridi first rose to fame because of the latter career which allowed her to rake part in Miss Tunis in 2015. Seen in a show called Non uccidere, her acting career hasn’t taken off but her appearance at the Rome Film Festival in the same year she first made her mark further cemented her notoriety. Attending the premiere of the film Carol there, she wore a dress that did not function as intended. Cut in a way that it resulted in several sections of fabric below her waist, they were light enough that they blew around in the wind which led to her “knickers” being revealed.

Lake Bell

An actress that is far from a household name at this point, that doesn’t mean that Lake Bell hasn’t made a huge impact on the scene. A part of a long list of dramatic and comedic projects, there are many people who have become fully aware of what she does and love her as a result. Seen in movies like It’s Complicated, No Strings Attached, and In a World which was also directed by her, she is also one of the stars of the shows Boston Legal, Children’s Hospital, and How to Make It in America. When she attended the 2016 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, there was no way to know her outfit would malfunction. When a “gentle breeze” came through, it led to much of her dress’ fabric fluttering in the air which unveiled around half of her body under a sheer material.

Charlotte McKinney

A model who many people see as a potential heir apparent to Kate Upton, Charlotte McKinney possesses a similar curvaceous body type we can’t get enough of. Working for brands like Carl’s Jr. and Guess, she was also tapped to compete on a season of Dancing with the Stars and has been profiled by Esquire Magazine. One of many people that attended the 2015 Spike TV Guys’ Choice Awards, she wore a dress that hung around her booty which was fine by us. However, we’re guessing she may not have been pleased that when photographers shot her from the right angle, the top of her rear end became visible.

Emma Watson

Introduced to the world as a child when she was Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series, Emma Watson would spend a decade playing the character. Able to beat the odds and defeat the child star curse, she was able to remain a star as an adult with roles in movies like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Bling Ring, and Beauty and the Beast. However, she wasn’t able to escape the dreaded wardrobe malfunction in 2012 when she went to a screening of one of her films. Wearing a beautiful dress, the top half of it didn’t remain in place which led to those in attendance seeing that she was wearing double-sided tape of a pastie underneath.

Bella Hadid

A member of the Hadid family, they seem poised to be the next Kardashians and Jenners. We say that because she is the daughter of a cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the sister of a famous model. Also entering the same business as her sister, Bella Hadid has been successful enough that in 2016, GQ named her Model of the Year and Models.com nominated her for several awards as well. Appearing in a long list of publications and commercials on top of working with far too many brands to mention here, it is safe to say that she is accustomed to being in the spotlight. Perhaps that is why she paid no mind to the attention she received as she walked down a Cannes Red Carpet while her dress shifted enough to no longer stop people from seeing her underwear.

Miranda Kerr

From one huge model to another, this time around, we are looking at an international superstar that is big enough to be included on lists of the highest paid people in her business from year to year. Also extending her brand by appearing on fashion-related shows like Project Runway and Australia’s Next Top Model, Miranda Kerr also played herself on the show How I Met Your Mother. Walking down a red carpet one fateful New York night in 2013, she was wearing a largely see-through top but strategically placed fabric kept the rest of the attendees from seeing anything too scandalous. At least, that was the case until she raised her arms to adjust her hair and cameras got a tantalizing view of her chest.

Rumer Willis

The eldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, Rumer has followed in the footsteps of her famous parents and become an actor. Appearing in her folks’ films at a young age, including The Whole Nine Yards and Striptease, since then, she has taken on several projects of her own. Given major roles in movies like The House Bunny and The Escort, she has also appeared in several episodes of the show 90210. Also memorable for competing in a season of Dancing with the Stars, that may actually be Rumer Willis’ greatest claim to fame. Seen here while attending Elle’s Women in Music event in 2014, the strategic holes in her skirt revealed her pink undergarments when photographed from the side.

Eva Longoria

An actress that has been doing her thing for several years now, Eva Longoria first gained fame as one of the stars of The Young and the Restless from 2001 until 2003. Then, she was cast in the primetime series Desperate Housewives and her level of fame went to a whole new level. Working consistently ever since, she has played a part in shows like The Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Empire as well as several movies. Attending the Cannes Film Festival premiere of a French film in 2013, when she lifted her dress to walk up steps, she went too far and unveiled her nether regions which may or may not have been uncovered.

Eve

One of the best known and most successful female rappers of all time, Eve was at her zenith in the 2000’s. Remembered for songs like “Let Me Blow Ya Mind,” “Gangsta Lovin',” and “What Ya Want” to name a few, her discography is full of many tracks that were big hits. Also an actress that has worked a lot, she was the star of her own sitcom, Eve, on top of the Barbershop series of films. It is due to her involvement in that last franchise that she finds herself here because she suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the premiere of Barbershop: The Next Cut. Photographed while moving in her car outside the event, her top was an open jacket and her choice to not wear a bra betrayed her as her bosoms were completely visible.

Geri Halliwell

One fifth of one of the biggest musical groups of all time, Geri Halliwell and the other members of The Spice Girls became famous in countries all over the world. Remembered for songs like “Wannabe,” “Say You’ll Be There,” “2 Become 1,” and “Spice Up Your Life,” their music was the soundtrack of a lot of lives in the nineties. Also a merchandising machine, their faces seemed to adorn every kind of item available and they even starred in their own film, Spice World. Seen here at the 2008 Children’s Baftas, the lowest part of her dress was ruffled and fluttered in the wind and showing off her bottom.

Laura Govan

An example of the fact that red carpet events seem to be open season if you’ve attained any level of fame, Laura Govan (pictured on the right), one of the stars of Basketball Wives L.A., walked one in 2015 with her sister. Attending the premiere of The Wedding Ringer, a movie she had nothing to do with, she still managed to steal the world’s attention when she shifted herself too far to one side. Wearing a strapless dress, apparently, her movement caused one side of it to slide down and completely show off one of her breasts. At least she took it in stride, posting on social media about the moment without any notable embarrassment and even bragging a little bit about the quality of her body part.

Adrienne Bailon

A former Disney star who was a part of their once vaunted Cheetah Girls franchise, the series focused on the titular girl group which she was a part of. Also a member of another girl group called 3LW, it is safe to say that music is a big part of Adrienne Bailon’s life. An actress as well, she has recently been a part of a long list of movies including Coach Carter and Buffalo Dreams, on top of the shows That’s So Raven and The Real, the latter of which she co-hosted. When she walked the red carpet at the Escape to Total Rewards event in 2012, she wore a dress from her own fashion line, and it didn’t exactly go great. Featuring a sheer cloth and a group of fabric that covered up her nether regions, when the wind hit, the movement uncovered her naughty bits since she opted to go commando other than her dress.

Jessica Alba

An actress that has been around for several decades now, one thing has remained constant with regard to Jessica Alba; she is a world class beauty. Known for her work in movies like Idle Hands, Good Luck Chuck, and franchises like Fantastic Four and Sin City, every film she was a part of were made more beautiful for it. Also a co-founder of The Honest Company, she owns a large chunk of the huge business to this day. However, not everything goes as planned for her as epitomized by the events at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards. Wearing a green dress she thought nothing of, as the camera flashes lit up her body and the fabric shifted, it became see-through, and we’re guessing she regretted her choice to not wear a bra that day.

Jaimie Alexander

If you are like us when this decade dawned, then you most likely had absolutely no idea who Jaimie Alexander was. Cast as Lady Sif in Thor, it made her a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe which included appearances in the second Thor film and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. A part of the biggest film franchise of all time, she was also cast as one of the starring roles in the series Blindspot which was recently renewed for a third season. Pictured here at the premiere of Thor: The Dark World, her dress of choice blew viewers away. A black dress with a sheer piece running down two sides, most viewers believe that it gave cameras a view of her privates from the front despite her claim that she was wearing something underneath. Either way, the world saw more than she seemed to bargain for.

Christina Milian

An equally talented and beautiful woman with a lovely voice, at one time, Christina Milian was a mainstay of the music charts. Known for songs like “Ain’t No Reason,” “Someday One Day,” “When You Look at Me,” and “We Ain’t Worried,” she earned many fans for her music at the time. Also an actress and “reality” star, she appeared in movies like Be Cool and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past as well as starring in the show Christina Milian Turned Up. Opting to go to the movie premiere for the Will Smith and Margot Robbie film Focus, she went topless aside from an open jacket which moved as she walked and gave cameras a view of more of her chest than planned.

Chrissy Teigen

An international model who is one of a select few ladies that have been featured on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, that alone shows how big of a deal Chrissy Teigen is. The co-host of the show Lip Sync Battle, her TV success also included a stint as one of the panelists on the lifestyle show FABlife in the past. Somebody who is known to enjoy dressing in a revealing fashion, Chrissy takes great pride in her body for very good reason. One instance in which she wore a less-than-subtle outfit came at the 2016 AMA Awards where she walked the red carpet in a dress that exposed her nude body from the waist down on both sides. Held together by a couple of strings on the side, like so many other dresses here, it moved as she walked and as the wind came in, revealing her choice to wear nothing underneath.

Lady Gaga

One of the most groundbreaking artists around today, Lady Gaga has shown herself to be fearless, and we believe that she is the spiritual successor of Madonna that some thought Britney Spears might be. A very successful singer who has recorded songs that have brought millions together, her many hits include songs like “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” “Born This Way,” and “Telephone.” On top of that, she has also earned acclaim as an actress for her work on the show American Horror Story. Never afraid to push boundaries, when she went to the 2011 Fashion Designer Awards, she wore a blue wig that nobody noticed after her chest moved enough in her dress to be totally exposed under sheer material.

Connie Nielsen

A Danish actress that has been a part of many movies over the years, Connie Nielsen seemingly made the transition to Hollywood without missing a beat. Known for films like The Devil’s Advocate, One Hour Photo, Mission to Mars, and Basic, she also played a part in the shows Boss and The Following. Most recently beloved for her work as Hippolyta in Wonder Woman, she is set to return to the DC Extended Universe in the upcoming film Justice League. Seen here greeting fans in a line outside of a television studio where she and her castmates were interviewed about Wonder Woman, Connie’s long dress was hit by wind strong enough to show her nude derriere.

Tara Reid

It is sometimes hard to remember now but when American Pie became a surprise hit, most people were confident in the career prospects for Tara Reid. Also seen in the films Urban Legend, The Big Lebowski, and Van Wilder, she was a part of memorable films but didn’t get the credit for them. Instead, movies that seemed to more heavily rely on her like Josie and the Pussycats were bombs in every way. Of course, she underwent a slight career renaissance with her inclusion in the Sharknado franchise but to say her acting in them was awful would be charitable. Unfortunately for her, one of her most memorable moments in the public came on the red carpet outside of a birthday party for Diddy where one of the straps of her dress slipped, revealing half of her chest.

Sophie Marceau

The winner of the César Award for Most Promising Actress in 1983, it is mind-blowing to know that Sophie Marceau, who remains vibrant today, has been acting for so long. Seen in movies like the La Boum series, The World is Not Enough, and Braveheart, she will always hold a special place in our hearts. A regular attendee of the Cannes Film Festival, she has had several wardrobe malfunctions there but the largest came in 2005. Talking to an interviewer at the time, suddenly out of nowhere, one of the straps of her dress fell to her elbow, revealing half of her chest in a moment that clearly took her by surprise based on her expression.
