The latest series on FX, Feud, is making people talk about how compelling the backstory is on the behind-the-scenes drama of the real-life stars, Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Played by Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange, it gives a bit of insight into the drama that can occur between two celebrities competing in the same industry. From vying to get better lighting from the crew to sleeping with judges to ensure the other actress doesn’t win the award, this was a story meant to be told and viewers are eating it up. Yet, new shows like The X-Factor and The Voice were starting to make American Idol lose favor with viewers. In an effort to change up the show a bit, showrunners decided to bring in some new judges. Adding Mariah Carey as a judge was a huge boost to the credibility of the series since Carey is known to be one of the most talented vocalists of all time. However, adding Nicki Minaj as a judge was a huge opportunity for her since it would further her fame with a mainstream audience. As a female rapper, it was a positive thing to be on a network series and sitting next to Mariah Carey. Yet, it was reported that Mariah Carey never wanted Nicki Minaj on the show because they would “steal her shine.” It should be no surprise that the season was filled with feuding between Carey and Minaj and couldn’t come to an end soon enough.

Remy Ma Diss Track On Nicki Minaj

There is an extremely long history behind the feud between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj since it actually started back in 2007. Remy Ma has always stated that it was Minaj that started the feud through a reference in her “Dirty Money” freestyle. Yet, there was never any confirmation and then Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years for two assault charges involving a gun. During this time, Minaj skyrocketed into fame even though many regarded Remy Ma as the better rapper and songwriter. Remy Ma was ultimately released after spending six years behind bars and Minaj reportedly referenced her again in a diss track. Since the two had known each other for many years (and were even once rumored to have dated), there was a lot Remy Ma knew about the early life of Minaj before her stardom. She also knew individuals that were once romantically involved with Minaj and decided to use all of that information in a diss track entitled, “Shether.” People couldn’t get over all of the information unleashed in this 7-minute response. Not only is Remy Ma solidifying herself as a formidable female rapper but she’s calling out Minaj in a way that is chipping away at her public persona.

Taraji P. Henson Humbles 50 Cent

When the Power TV series premiered in 2014, it didn’t get half of the hype that the Fox drama, Empire, received after its 2015 premiere. While 50 Cent was still being praised for Power, the ratings for Empire were through the roof and it was known as far more popular. 50 Cent released a statement where he referenced having superior writers and showrunners and even stated, “I don’t like that they would copy the marketing.” Taraji P. Henson was receiving accolades and awards for her portrayal as Cookie Lyon and decided to use her thriving popularity to try and squish the little bug that was trying to rain on her parade. She responded by saying, “I pay attention to $’s NOT cents?” She went on to say, “IJS [I’m just saying] I couldn’t even find the ‘cent’ sign!! #ByeBitch # Empire.” Quickly realizing that he wasn’t going to win a fight against Cookie Lyon from Empire, 50 Cent backpedaled almost immediately. 50 Cent’s music career is hanging on by a thread and he doesn’t need an accomplished and beloved actress like Taraji slamming him to the world.

50 Cent Tries To Call Rival Show’s Character Ugly

There is obviously a competition between 50 Cent’s show, Power, and the Fox hit drama, Empire. Both have a connection with the music industry and a similar theme but viewers have obviously picked Empire as the winner. With far better ratings and mega stars flocking to have a guest spot on the series, 50 Cent wasn’t too happy when he saw his ex-girlfriend, Vivica A. Fox starring as Cookie Lyon’s sister on Empire. He took to Instagram and tried to sabotage the way viewers saw the actress during her guest spots and compared her look to that of a woman with horrible plastic surgery results. He emphasized it by adding a long caption that concluded with “I told you POWER was the show to watch. Now Empire lol… forget it.”

Wiz Khalifa Ranting On Kanye’s New Album

The music industry has made headlines in recent years because of the difficulty artists have to make money through album sales. More artists make the bulk of their income from touring and endorsement deals so it’s more important than ever to keep fans interested in new album releases. In January 2016, Kanye West took to Twitter to promote his new album and let his fans know about the title change from Swish to Waves. Wiz Khalifa responded by tweeting, “Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave. There is no wave without him.” Obviously, Khalifa wouldn’t mind West’s new album failing in sales and criticizing its title was a way to call him out. Khalifa continued to tweet and posted, “He’s the reason I sing on all my songs. That’s the wave. If there’s nothing wit that sound ITS NOT WAVY.” This was putting West’s street credibility into question since it seemed like he wasn’t aware of Max B.

While the world is aware of Kim Kardashian’s many endeavors that bring in her income, many are surprised to know that she makes a huge amount of money through her social media pages. With this being a huge part of her income, she needs to ensure that her Twitter account remains ultra popular and always trending. In March 2016, she posted a completely nude photo of herself, shortly after her infamous Paper magazine spread. While there were some that reached out to Kim and commended her confidence and strength as a woman, not all of the comments were favorable. Bette Midler released a tweet that read, “If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera.” There were other celebrities that responded with huge insults after Kim’s nude tweet but it was Midler’s tweet that had people laughing at her. It’s one thing to stand firm against a woman showing nude pics over the Internet, it’s another to make fun of her for all the world to see.

Kanye West’s career is filled with moments of over-the-top publicity stunts but the most memorable was when he grabbed the mic from Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. However, this was also during a time when Taylor Swift was making a huge splash in country music, with many speculating that she would cross over to pop and become a huge star (which is exactly what happened). While accepting the award for the Best Female Video, West jumped onto the stage and grabbed the microphone during her acceptance speech and said, “I’m really happy for you. I’ma let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.” Not only did it make the statement that Taylor Swift wasn’t deserving of the award but it also brought more attention to West and Jay-Z.

While there is constantly talk about the music industry being increasingly difficult for artists to make money, Taylor Swift has broken all types of records through her album sales and tours. Although Katy Perry has had a stellar career as well, it hasn’t been able to top Swift’s crossover success into the pop genre. It was rumored that Katy Perry stole three of Swift’s ultra-loyal back-up dancers so that they would come on her concert tour. Swift spoke about the incident in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone magazine and said, “It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.” There was a lot of back-and-forth regarding this incident because there was an immediate backlash to Katy Perry’s reputation for doing something like that. Yet, more details regarding the alleged “stolen” dancers were revealed and Swift’s ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris, brought up the feud again when he tweeted, “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

There’s no doubt about it, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez don’t have very much in common. Yet, Lopez has talents that Mariah Carey doesn’t have since she’s known for putting on a fantastic show with her dance moves and she’s also an accomplished actress. Nat King Cole was regarded as a legend in the music industry, with his signature sound becoming legendary from his 1951 hit, “Unforgettable.” His daughter, Natalie Cole, embarked on her own career in the music industry and, undoubtedly, she had dreams of having the same kind of success as her iconic father. While Natalie Cole did receive some success, it must have been difficult for her to see an artist like Amy Winehouse getting far more attention in a shorter amount of time. It seemed like Winehouse became an instant icon over night and Natalie Cole made some harsh comments about the newcomer in the industry. After Winehouse took home five Grammy awards in one fell swoop, Cole gave an interview with US magazine referencing her drug use and stating, “I just feel like she’s stepping into a place that she hasn’t earned yet.” It was seen as a definite jab at Winehouse and even called out some of the personal struggles with substance abuse, which ultimately resulted in her death. Sadly, the world also lost Natalie Cole when she died at the age of 65 in 2015 from congestive heart failure.

Tamar Braxton had been gaining a huge reputation as a television personality ever since she first appeared on Braxton Family Values and was one of the favorite co-hosts on the talk show, The Real. Yet, after reports about her diva behavior behind-the-scenes, showrunners decided to fire her from the show. Rather than bow out gracefully and congratulate the guest stars that had an opportunity to fill her shoes in various guest spots, Braxton chose to lash out at each and every one of them. She lashed out all of her former co-hosts, to whom she had once called her “close friends.” Two of her other friends, Loni Love and Monica Brown, were asked to guest host in Tamar’s place and she promptly unfollowed them on social media. Rather than taking ownership of her own behavior that got her fired, she tried to sabotage the reputation of the others to make it seem like they were betraying her as a friend. Apparently, if Tamar Braxton doesn’t have a job, then no one should have a job!

After the demise of Chris Brown’s relationship with Rihanna, there weren’t many favorable headlines coming out regarding either his personal or professional life. Brown was dubbed a violent, unstable and out of control music artist that couldn’t quite seem to turn his life around. When he began dating Karrueche Tran, people immediately started to speculate as to whether she was just another beautiful girl trying to become famous. Yet, the pair had a lengthy relationship and it seemed like anyone that met Tran, instantly became her friend. She began branching out and making connections on her own and soon was considered far more than just Chris Brown’s on-again/off-again girlfriend. However, that didn’t sit too well with Chris Brown and he took to social media to try and belittle her and her achievements. In one post, Brown wrote, “All your friends are your friends because you were Chris Brown's girl! And the other friends you still talk to... I f**ked. So, advice from b**ches that had my d**k in their mouths is really not informative.”

When the 2003 sex tape of Ray J and Kim Kardashian was leaked in 2007, it catapulted Kim into superstardom and helped to land her and her family their very own reality series. While she went on to earn millions via her social media, appearances and endorsements, Ray J’s career in the music industry fizzled out. Things may have been a bit different if Kim would have helped Ray J’s career in the process but she tried to get as far away from their sex tape as possible. Whether he’s just trying to keep reminding people of their relationship or he feels legitimately jealous of Kim’s success, Ray J has released a few songs to slam Kim and lower her status as an A-list celebrity. In the song, “Famous,” some of the lyrics include, “She f***ed me for fame, look in her eyes. She was the first one to sign on the line. She was the real one to plan it all out. Look at the family, they walk around proud. All because she had my d*** in her mouth.”

Selena Gomez Instigating A Fight With Justin Bieber’s Fans

When Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber ended their relationship, fans were heartbroken to see these two young music stars finally call it quits. While the world was having Bieber Fever, it seemed like Selena Gomez was the only one that was worthy of being his girlfriend in the eyes of his young fans. When Bieber started posting photos of his new girlfriend, Sofia Richie, he had to lash out at fans that he felt were being disrespectful to her. Bieber’s not the first celebrity to lash out at fans that are overly critical on social media but it’s usually taken as a gentlemanly gesture since it coming to the aid of their female companion. Yet, Gomez knew that she could twist the situation to make sure it appeared like Bieber was just going off on another of his out-of-control moments. Gomez instigated a fight on social media by saying, “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you.” This simultaneously made Gomez look better in the eyes of the fans and it sparked a huge Twitter war that ultimately resulted in Bieber suspending his Twitter account. That’ll teach him to post a happy picture of him and his new girlfriend!

Lisa Vanderpump Slamming Brandi Glanville Right Off The Show

When Brandi Glanville first appeared on the reality series, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she was seen as a bit of a victim because of her husband leaving her for LeAnn Rimes. It also didn’t help that the other women on the series seemed to treat her poorly, even hiding her crutches from her in one episode. When she aligned with Lisa Vanderpump, the two seemed like the dynamic duo of friends and definitely helped to raise her status on the series. Vanderpump was already a fan favorite from the showrunners and the viewers, and even got a spin-off series for her restaurant business. However, Glanville didn’t want to always be seen as Vanderpump’s sidekick and quickly caused some drama that resulted in their friendship coming to an end. Ultimately, Brandi Glanville was no longer going to be on the series, with showrunners claiming she was fired and Glanville claiming she quit. Whatever the case, Vanderpump has made repeated remarks about how difficult it was to film with Glanville and made no effort to hide the fact that she was happy she wouldn’t be returning to the show. With a reputation like that, Glanville will be hard-pressed to find a new reality series home (or friends, for that matter).
