15 Things Donald Trump Won’t Tell You About His Kids

via wennermedia.com/theblaze

President-Elect Trump has given the media and public plenty to talk about. From his multi million dollar business, his wife’s plagiarised speeches to his hair and some odd word choices, there is probably enough content to cover the Trump family for days. But while everyone is talking about the latest thing Trump has said, let’s turn our attention away from him and to his kids – the clan he raves on about (well maybe with the exception of his daughter Tiffany). For such a big household name, the kids’ reputations are pretty clean and untarnished. That said though, everyone has skeletons in their closet and when you’re the kid of Donald Trump, there’s no doubt you would have done some questionable things that Donald wouldn’t necessarily be proud of.

There are things you’d want the world to know when you’re president elect – like how your two kids are running your empire while you’re making America great again or how your daughter is changing the world, advocating for women’s rights whilst running businesses of her own. Regardless, all parents are proud of their kids – it’s expected. But with the good will always come the bad, there are things that the Don may not be proud to shout from his very expensive rooftops and here we’ve rounded up 15 things Donald Trump will not want you to know about his kids. We’ve got everything from extreme decadence to tax fraud. No matter how squeaky clean they may seem, we are not perfect and make mistakes.

15. They Are Very Spoilt

Barron Trump

Remember when Trump was the boss on reality show The Apprentice? In the later seasons, he brought on his own children to be his advisors and bragged about how they made their own way in their careers and that he never handed anything to them on a silver platter. His daughter Ivanka Trump has also made similar comments in previous interviews. Well, it seems parents do tend to get more relaxed with each child that comes. His youngest son Barron, who Melania refers to Little Don reportedly has his own floor in the Trump tower. Sources say Barron won’t be moving to the White House anytime soon because he needs to finish school (where his annual tuition is $40,000) but if we had our own floor on Trump Tower, we wouldn’t want to move either. You think a floor on Trump Tower is extravagant? Read on.

14. Barron Trump Uses Caviar Moisturiser Everyday

If you think having your own floor in the Trump Tower is excessive…the following may just trump (pun intended) it. Melania apparently uses her Caviar Complexe C6 moisturiser every night after his bath. Could it be a product plug for her own range? Perhaps. Melanie exclusively launched her skincare range at Lord & Taylor a few years ago. Caviar isn’t cheap either. Her products were meant to be priced from $50-$150 but if you were to look it up now, you wouldn’t be able to find it.

The skincare line quietly faded into the background in a heavily cluttered market. Still though…has anyone ever asked why a 7-year-old (when she was testing the products on Barron) would need an anti-aging caviar cream? Surely, the before and after photos would hardly be convincing. Nonetheless, no one can argue that Melania doesn’t spoil her son.

13. They Have Questionable Ethics When It Comes To Animal Rights

Leopards and elephants are endangered species and when you have someone like Donald Jr. hunting them as a hobby, it’s not a surprise that it may put some people in a rage. It seems he shows no remorse or shame in how he spends his leisure time. He’s been pictured with his prey on more than one occasion and he’s gotten a lot of bad press around it, especially since the recent backlash around people who proudly pose with their kill. For animal lovers, it’s an inhumane act of violence and for others, it’s an unnecessary indulgence afforded by his level of wealth. He may have a good shot when it comes to hunting but don’t expect Donald Trump to be boasting about his son’s hunting hobbies anytime soon. This is probably one of those past times he’d rather see his son keep away from Instagram.

12. Tiffany Trump’s Pop Star Career Was a Flop

via Phantomsway.com

In a recent interview with Trump and his family, Trump said he was proud of his family and “Well…Tiffany to a lesser extent”. No one would really know what he meant by that comment but one thing is certain – she’s no Ivanka. Her ‘Like a Bird’ single may have gone viral recently on the piggy back of her father’s campaign but it’s not necessarily because she has talent. The one hit wonder was just that. Have a listen and pay attention to the lyrics which I assume sum up Tiffany’s life:

“Everybody’s partying

Obsessing over crazy thing

I just want serenity

While living it up”

Tiffany doesn’t get much of a spotlight with Donald compared to her siblings. It could be due to her age (she’s a young 20 something), her reputation for loving a good party (unlike her sibling’s relatively squeaky clean record) or her career (or lack thereof) achievements.

11. Ivanka And Working Mothers

It’s rare that she gets caught up in rumours and controversy but when you have empires of your own, people will want to get in on the action. Ivanka has become the poster child of women’s rights, especially for mums who work. She has previously said:

“When a woman becomes a mother, she is supported, not shut out. . . . Gender is no longer the factor creating the greatest wage discrepancy in this country; motherhood is.” She gleamed at the crowd, dressed in a bubblegum-pink shift dress from her own collection. “Policies that allow women with children to thrive should not be novelties. They should be the norm.”

Sounds great for all working mothers out there, only we then found out the company that manufacturers her clothing line enforces a maternity policy that goes against what Ivanka says. The company G-III doesn’t offer maternity leave – only the minimal 12 weeks of unpaid leave.

10. Trump Jr. Needs a Filter

via NBC News

We know Donald has put his foot in it from time to time and it seems Donald Trump Jr. takes in his father’s footsteps. In a series of interviews he’s riled people up with his controversial remarks on overweight people, Arabs and child pageant stars. His interview with Shock Jock radio however, sums up his sense of humour nicely.

When a shooting happened at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, Trump’s reaction to it was hardly compassionate. Instead, it was insensitive and poorly timed. In an interview where a witness described the details of the shooting, Trump Jr. joked that the movie still received a ‘two thumbs up’.

Then there was the interview where he called overweight people lazy in which he said: “Fat people get- everything’s a disease…laziness is a disease too”. Considering the high obesity rates in the states, I’m certain his comments would have offended a good amount of Americans.

9. They Mix Business With Pleasure

Using political fame for business is a big no-no when your father is the new president elect. So it was no surprise that Ivanka caused a frenzy when a ‘media alert’ was sent to fashion journalists about the $13,000 gold bracelet Ivanka wore during the 60 Minutes programme. Was it a just bad timing or bad business? No one will really know. How many of those bracelets were sold post the media alert? The number wasn’t disclosed. Regardless, she has been accused of using her father’s new political status for her own financial gain and those rumours are here to stay. When you have an empire as big as the Trump family’s you’re bound to get stuck in muddy waters mixing business and pleasure. This is especially true now that Ivanka has been named as one of Trump’s transition advisors. You can’t undo what’s done but with the election still a sensitive topic amongst many, any controversy is best avoided.

8. Sometimes Family Ties Are A Little Too Close

via Prouddemocrat

If you’ve been following the Trump clan for awhile you’ll know that Donald Trump LOVES his daughter Ivanka. So much so that it’s actually stirred some bad press around it. You can’t blame them though. Donald Trump has given them so much fuel to the fire with comments like: “My daughter, she’s 6 feet tall, she’s got the best body” (as told to Howard Stern). Then there was a comment he made about Ivanka appearing in Playboy:

“It would be really disappointing — not really — but it would depend on what’s inside the magazine. I don’t think Ivanka would do that, although she does have a very nice figure. I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

There is fatherly love but this takes it to the extreme and makes most of us cringe. If this isn’t enough to convince you, there is also this comment he made in Rolling Stone:

“Yeah, [Ivanka’s] really something and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married, and ya know, her father…”

7. Tiffany Is A Social Media Influencer For The Wrong Reasons

Tiffany Trump vs

via Cosmopolitan

Before Trump ran for president, no one knew who Tiffany Trump was. Never mind that she parties with A-list celebrities and had all the privileges of a rich kid, everyone now wants to know everything about Trump’s mystery daughter. With her social media presence open for the public to see, we don’t have to guess what Tiffany is up to, where she parties, who she’s with, what scantily clad bikini she’s wearing, where she is staying when she is island hopping. It sounds like a security nightmare just waiting to happen. Where his other children are business moguls, his other daughter is known for her social media fame. Perhaps with her father as president, we’ll see her brand evolve but from the looks of it, we’ll be seeing Tiffany break the rules as the daughter of a president.

6. They Take Political Matters Way Too Lightly

via CNN

Regardless of where you’re living at the moment, the refugee crisis is not to be taken lightly. And when the son of the president elect is making such bold statements about the issue, a PR disaster looms. Donald Trump Jr. has made distasteful comments about obese people and shootings but in recent weeks, he has outdone himself. In a tweet referencing the Syrian refugee problem, he tweeted an image of a bowl of Skittles with the caption: “If I had a bowl of Skittles and I told you that three would kill you, would you take a handful? That’s our Syrian refugee problem.” If you were president elect, would you want your son to be representing you with remarks like that? It seems like the common lesson the Trump family can learn is a lesson in PR. Otherwise the media will continue to have a field day with comments like this one.

5. His Kids Don’t Pay Their Taxes

The story of the rich not paying their taxes is a common tale but when it happens to the children of President elect, we pay attention. It turns out that Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump have been named defendants of a $250-million tax evasion case. Whether Trump has paid his taxes has been a hot topic throughout the election campaign but it will be interesting to see how this case turns out now that he is President-Elect and the most powerful man in America. Reports say the investigation will continue but whether the investigation will be influenced by nepotism is debatable. Will Trump get his kids out of the hot water with his new power? Most likely. Will we hear about the outcome of this so-called scandal? Probably not. How people with millions of dollars avoid paying their bills continues to surprise me.

4. Eric Steals Lemonade

via burgermenu.blogspot.com

via burgermenu.blogspot.com

Now that the Trump kids are in the spotlight, everything they do gets scrutinized. It all comes with the good and bad of fame. This time, the controversy is over a cup of lemonade – no joke. It’s that trivial. Eric Trump was at In and Out Burgers with his wife and instead of ordering and paying for a cup of lemonade, he used a plastic cup that was meant for free water. The picture implied that he hadn’t paid for the lemonade and stole it. Twitter went into a frenzy with critics slamming Eric:

“Look, you don’t get to be a BILLIONAIRE by SPENDING money on lemonade,” one person said.

Another said: “I’m sorry but for some reason I find ordering water but then getting lemonade the lowest of the low”. Come on guys – it’s just lemonade.

3. He Gives to Charity – His Own

via Heavy.com

via Heavy.com

Eric Trump has several foundations he donates money to. It’s a great tax write off and especially serving for him when he’s funding his own interests. He’s been heard donating thousands of dollars to charity but never expressed that part of the donations were going to his own businesses. According to various sources, the Eric Trump Foundation has been reported to have paid hundreds of thousands over the past years to host fundraising events at Donald Trump’s golf courses – if this were true, you’d hardly call that a donation. Regardless, you can’t help but question Eric’s ethics when it comes to charity. And this certainly wouldn’t be a good representation of Trump’s reputation as a father and political figure. According to his foundation’s Executive Director:

“Trump assets are not profiting from these ETF events, but instead they are donating their time and resources to the cause.” There are three sides of a story, ours, theirs and the truth. What you decide to be true is up to you.

2. They Allegedly Pay for Substances and Women

via realtimepolitics.com

Sex, drugs are all part of the life of a rockstar and the rich so it should come as no surprise that Eric Trump has recently been accused of paying for women and drugs at an Icelandic restaurant according to SF Gate: “I later heard that they invited 15 Icelandic girls to go out with them for dinner and drinks at a restaurant and paid each one 15,000 Icelandic krónur (around USD 120) just for joining them. Those that were ‘most fun’, whatever that means, would get to go on a glacier trip.” On the same trip, reports also indicated that Eric had left a lot of white in the apartment he was staying in: ”There was some white powder all around the apartment, someone had p..ed into the bathtub, broken the dining table and leaving the whole place in shambles. They did leave a lot of booze, which was rather popular [with me]”.

1. He Has Reportedly Blamed Sexual Harassment On Women

via The New York Times

Oh Eric…when will he learn to put a filter on when he speaks. Never shy to share his opinion, Eric Trump has suggested that women bring on sexual harassment on themselves. In his response to his father’s views on sexual harassment in the workplace, Trump has said:

“I think what he’s saying is, Ivanka is a strong, powerful woman, she wouldn’t allow herself to be objected to it,” the younger Trump said. “And by the way, you should take it up with Human Resources, and I think she would as a strong person, at the same time, I don’t think she would allow herself to be subjected to that. I think that’s a point he was making, and I think he did so well.” If only the solution was so simple. Again his insensitivity threw feminists and women all over the world into a Twitter frenzy and turned Eric into the least popular Trump in the clan.

With all eyes on this family we expect many more scandals to come. Who will stuff up next, our guess is as good as yours.
